Actually No. I am the Universes Dom
The Universe is My Dom
thereās two types of true kindness one that is removed from the person doing the act; something automatic, natural. And thereās one where the identity of the person is a little bit fractured, wonky, maybe itās a lack of self esteem, confidence. Itās done in good faith but there is a charge there for them too, a subconscious mechanism at work. Both count as good deeds of course you canāt help being fucked in the head but the first one is so extremely relaxing to be around.
my favourite type of people in the world are the ones where kindness radiates like a thin weave of shimmer around them. Iām not talking about kindness that is shown through gestures, or an overt need to be seen as āgoodā. This person never talks about how theyāre too nice, or an empath or whatever the fuck. Theyāre not without boundaries, or have their humility sprung out of lack of self respect. Itās something that comes automatically. They donāt speak about this quality - most of them arenāt aware of it. I can recognize it because it is in opposition to what I myself radiate. It is soft, but also stern, stable, it is collected, itās patient and so open. My nature is deeply suspicious. Itās an ugly trait. If I read someone as too nice, disingenious my nervous system kicks in. Like prey, sensing an imagined (!) predator. Of course I react the same way if someone is dismissive and rude, entitled. This is why I require such a long time of knowing someone in order to completely relax. But the ones mentioned earlierā¦..I am completely disarmed, every time. I try with my usual methods, all my maneuvers but this kind of kindness penetrates all of my defenses. Itās justā¦ā¦the elixir of life? To be close to these people? OBVIOUSLY all of the people in my life are the best. No doubt. But not everyone has this conspicuous quality. I melt under their presence. It is not the lack of evil, as we all contain, that is so magnetic to me. People void of evil scare me as much as evil people themselves. No, itās this indisputable knowledge these individuals have, where they actually do adress said moral failures but ultimately know; people are seldom the worst of their traits, including themselves. I can only hope this tenderness rubs off on me, an abrasive young lady. Their presence is like butter, a silky, warm experience I have THE UTMOST PRIVILEGE TO EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!! WAOW!!!!!
(there are people who contain this sort of kindness that you have to digest a bit to truly realize it!!!!!! Some people that are more charisma dominant FIRST GLANCE, or justā¦dominant-dominant, or letās say, funny. Or intelligent. Or idk even strange? Amanda, a very close and old best friend of mine has a body and soul inhibited by this brand of kindness. But it doesnāt necessarily translate at a first impression!!! The first impression A.W gives off a very strong, confident, very courageous spirit!!!!! A white woman Che Guevara. Gerilla Soldier. Almost a little dangerous. Iām certain she would kill someone for me without any moral qualms. And I would for her. Crazy bitch. My mirror!!! Anyways. This post is about that shimmering quality and how it is the sole trait that will guarantee a good vibe with me off the bat because Iām lowkey scared the first 2 yrs of any kind of relationship with anyone. Goodnight ā¤ļø)
you're in her dms, i'm in her dms, she doesn't reply to anyone.
Lone Believer
(24 hours after receiving the news of Sinaās passing)
I want a better relationship with God
I do feel like my faith is strong but somehow my relationship feels fractured
Is it because I am?
These people who claim to have a good relationship with God I wonder
Who decided that? Is it up to oneself? Where do I acquire this certainty that God even wants a relationship with ME? Seems a bit pushy no?
Iām only joking a bit btw
Maybe it is my grandmothers fault
She made spiritual descriptions, God being a light that lives within us all, a very philosophical explanation for a child, itās present in my mind after all these years; a soft glow washing over the clouds, making their contours light up. golden
It makes it hard to understand, These organizations around religion
So beautiful
So out of reach
How does one like what they like
Sick, questionable things in bed and
Alcohol, gluttony, how do you indulge in rage and still believe so firmly that heaven awaits? I believe. I believe in good, I believe in an entity that works completely on its own, seperate from anything even close to us mortals. Itās jarring having religion so close to you, your heritage, I would kneel and pray with my grandmother so often that she sewed me my own chador, be such a foreign concept now. It does not help, the rampant amount of Islamophobia spewed by Iranians.
Nevertheless I canāt see how people so easily attach themselves to the divine. I can attach myself to nature, to the rocks and the trees and the earth - all inherently divine. But Godliness? True, potent-something above and beyond nature-Godliness? What do I have to do with any of it? I am but a mere woman of flesh and blood and grease and dirt. When I lie on the grass, that is my church. So purely, obviously crafted by God
This is not a question disguised as criticism or to pathologize the people who do. Itās an expression of wishful thinking. It is one of my greatest wishes to find belonging in the context of religion, the same way I did in politics when I was younger. I almost feel as if truly religious people are scared of me. Maybe it is because they can sense my unGodliness.
In some strange way I do feel like me and God have some sort of understanding. Like me and my grandmother. There is no one in the world that has made me feel more like I am loved, completely unconditionally. Iāve never felt like I owe her anything, she has never once asked me of anything. Just poured her love into me, my lifeline. I get teared up thinking about her no matter the context. There are certain things I am sure she pretends not to notice about me. Things that would get the family talking. Deviances. But she will never acknowledge them, and neither am I, because our relationship is above that stuff anyway. I know that deep in her heart she knows, sheās just trying to protect the both of us.
In light of a terrible tragedy that recently hit my family, she has been ill with grief. The most God fearing woman I know threw her hands up and questioned the Almighty with two simply words:
āWhy God?ā
The anger, the betrayal, the pain and wrath pierced through the air, as if though the sentence left a gush of wind after itself and I thought to myself. The other side of complete devotion is this, always. Like a parent that loves you very much, the child dares to object. Because they have raised you in such a safe environment to express your emotions, you start saying things like āI hate you mumā when things go south. Godmum? MumGod. Only a child with a secure attachment would dare utter such a thing and know that theyāll still be loved. The rest of us are too scared.
The creator of her world, the architect, had failed her. She, who has the most divinity inside of her than anyone I have ever met. It made the hair on my arms rise. No one is safe. The condition of life is this; we all die. Now, in the same breath, she will also prompt between weeping: āGod, give me strengthā.
A testimony to the paradox that is faith. This sort of ease within the ambivalence, I have only seen in people that have grown up with religion within a context. There is a church, or a mosque, or a temple or a place it all connects. A scripture, well read. I ask and I feel imposing
I go to the places where divinity is said to live and I know I am not welcome by people who either expect me to join or get the fuck out. Maybe I belong to a less developed specimen. Less sophisticated. Still, I wonder, Where does the lone believer go?
Uhmmm I found this story I wrote when I was nine about a baby sitter called Mette who ends up being eaten in the basement by the one of the kidsā¦ā¦ehrmā¦.
Oh and btw youāre Bipolar !
When youāre diagnosed with bipolar, maybe better (or lesser) known as manic/hypomanic-depressive disorder, you enroll a little crash course. After months of interviews with you and your loved ones, assessments and physical tests, they tell you that medication for life is the only way to go and they send you to bippo bootcamp.
Yes no sleeping for periods without feeling tired no hunger no physical needs quite the contrary yes aggressive and active yes like being on coke without an ounce of it in your system yes month long dips so severe itās likely to push you off this astral plane yes all the women on my mothers side have it no Iām not sick what the fuck are you suggesting and such
Also I was kidding earlier. Itās not an actual bootcamp, itās three seminars spread out over three days. There were about 15-20 participants. Very eclectic mix. A business man in a suit looking very out of place. A woman in an active hypomanic episode, walking front and back in the classroom because she couldnāt stand being still, the restlessness consuming her. I could almost feel her heartbeat, I knew how it felt, pumping faster and harder than normal. Like itās going to crawl itās way up your throat and plunge out of your mouth; escape your body. Prison break vital-organ-edition.
A young boy with his mother, a crease forming in between her brows as the lecturer went on about how something as mundane as lack of sleep can send you into psychosis. It was a very strange experience. I can think of few places were such different people conduct their business, their common denominator. Maybe a passport office. Everyone looked so ordinary. A builder still in his work clothes. A young Eastern European girl with hoops and uggs. It was hard to imagine them being in debt, starting businesses and investing all they have from one day to another, getting in fist fights, staying up for 4 weeks, being bed ridden for months, their plights interwoven with mine.
Youāre not really introduced to one another. Most of us were uncomfortable, there was a ting of shame in the room, like an eerie blanket weighing down on our heads. You sit, listen, ask any questions you have if youāre brave enough, and leave after a couple hours.
After years of experiencing what I now understand as hypomania and depression, followed by periods of complete normalcy and stability, I unwillingly sought professional help. I filled in the little forms and got lucky; I had a meeting within a couple weeks. I explained to the doctor that I was there because of an ultimatum set by my loved ones. Hello doctor please give me some meds I sleep and sleep and sleep and my pants are falling of from the weight loss and if this goes on Iām gonna check out so give me some anti-depressants and leave me be
She refused. She didnāt explain why but she scheduled 3 more meetings on the spot. The second time she met me she told me āI canāt give you SSRis because I think youāre bipolar.ā I laughed and said to her sweetie Iāve seen that shit with my own eyes since I was a kid and trust me thatās not me WELL turns out it was and I am (I guess. Whatever they say lol)
She explained the equation. Heredity increases the chances of offspring being disordered, added trauma even more. Untreated or treatment resistent parent = traumatized child with pretty poor stats
Anyway enough about me this started with me wanting to write a funny story about the bippo bootcamp idk how we ended up here :S all Iām trying to say is. It was actually helpful. Iāve been on my meds for about five years now and I havenāt had a single episode. Not a severe one yeeeeaaah sure I go a little up and down once in a blue moon, periods of high stress and no sleep etc, but Iām about one of the most stable people I know now. Normal at sight at least. The most important thing when it comes to treatment of bipolar is to keep. Taking. Your. Meds. This is a chemical issue with balance that wonāt be fixed with therapy or meditation though it doesnāt hurt ofc but you need to sustain that imbalance yourself. Lock into your survival instinct and think of the ppl surrounding you
Youāre told that youāre not to make people feel like a burden. But you WILL be a liability to the people around you if you keep fucking around and Iām in a very privileged position with a tight knit community and support system so I understand that itās harder if youāre not. If I start acting strange Alma will tell me itās time for the heavier meds, but I keep on taking the ones Iām supposed to every day for the rest of my life (inshy if Psychosis donāt get to me).
I am not FINE with this. I hate being reliable on a little pill to keep me sane I am filled with rage that this is my circumstance but I am also INCREDIBLY thankful!!!! I wouldnāt be able to make art in that state! To love fully! Ok? Just wanted to add that itās not easy or fun but it will be worth it I swear
It will be really weird like life is strange itās like youāre on the edge of insanity all the time but you appear really normal but itās like itās a regular Monday but Iām filled with a strange Buzz that could either make me go swim in a lake in the middle of winter or do something normal like buy a pair of new boots
People will be a lil strange about it too. I got into one of Swedens most prestigious music schools, and on the application they asked ādo you have any physical or psychological conditions we need to know about?ā I decided not to tell them before I knew if Iām in or not. It turned out to be a good thing, because after the meeting where they told me Iām in, I sent an email with my medical papers. āIām bipolar btw, you donāt have to worry bout it though itās under controlā. It was followed by a call where they expressed concern about my ability to complete this particular program, as it was pretty āchallengingā. They offered me a spot in one of their other programs, that were only one year and essentially meant for prepping you for the one I ALREADY GOT INTO!!! I shut my big mouth and declined the offer politely, and said āIāll see you in september :)ā
ANYWAYS!!! IF U HAVE CHRONIC MENTAL ILLNESS THIS IS A SIGN TO KEEP EATING UR MEDs !! Yes it itās what this post has turned into !!! I love u u little crazys!!!!! All of the sudden u will be able to smell the flowers and the world becomes HD!!!!! Yea giving in feels good but suddenly feeling an increase of just ā¦.patience feels so much better !!!
