Peppermint Tea With Cocoa

This tea is surprisingly good, I’d give it 7/10 stars.

It kind of tastes like a melted mint areo bar, if you’ve ever had one. I have tried this tea before, and the first time I tried it, I didn’t like it all that much. However, tastebuds change, and upon trying it again I can say that I do in fact like this tea.

It has a good peppermint flavour and the cocoa compliments it nicely. Some cocoa teas don’t have a very strong cocoa flavour (ironically) but this one does! I don’t drink milk but I’m sure it would be great in this tea, if you were to try it.

I’d recommend this tea to anyone looking to try something new. I wasn’t sure if I would like it when I first bought it, but man am I glad I did! This tea is lovely, and I’m sure you’ll love it!

Northern Lights from Tealish

I really like this tea and would give it 7.5/10 stars.

It’s fragrant, strong, and has a hint of sweetness without any added sugars. It’s a green tea, so you have to be careful not to over steep it, because the leaves can burn easily and will leave you with a bitter taste. There are no steeping instructions, so I steeped my cup for 3-4 minutes.

I think this tea is best enjoyed hot, but it isn’t bad as an iced tea either. It’s a fair price for a loose leaf tea, plus mine was on sale, only costing me $7 CAD for the whole container (2.8 oz), instead of $15 CAD.

It’s a solid green tea, though I wish the orange peel would come through a little more. It adds a slight sweetness, but not much else. I wish it had more of a citrus flavour, though it’s still a very good tea.

This is one of those teas that smell better than they taste. The taste is pretty standard for a good quality green tea—but the smell! It’s beautiful.

I highly recommend trying this tea if you don’t have a good green tea in your collection already. This tea does have a good amount of caffeine to it, so it’s best enjoyed earlier in the day, of course.

Buddha’s Blend

Though I disagree with using any particular religion to market a product, I’d give this tea 8/10 stars

It has good flavour, though it could be a bit stronger for me. Steeping for 2-3 minutes has it a bit on the weaker side, though if you steep it for 4-5 minutes I find it comes out lovely. This mixture of white and green tea is excellent to wake up with, or to settle down with mid day.

It still has a moderate level of caffeine, so I wouldn’t personally drink it past 5pm, provided I intend to sleep at night. Of course, you get more caffeine the longer you steep, so take that into consideration when preparing your own cup.

This is one of my favourite teas in my collection, just as long as the water isn’t too hot, as the green tea will burn and leave a bitter taste behind.

I highly recommend trying Buddha’s Blend from DavidsTea if you get the chance. Between the wonderful flavour, aroma, and caffeine, what’s not to love?
