I need help

There isn’t really any other way to put this but I really need your help right now. As much as people have helped me previously by purchasing my art - and they did help a lot and I’m really grateful - my situation hasn’t got much better. It’s actually worse than before. Basically my financial situation is shit. I was able to get past one obstacle, which was paying for the security deposit of my new apartment, but now I have a bigger obstacle which is called bureaucracy and being broke. I have my apartment now but I cannot move in because I can’t buy food or pay for internet. School is going to start and I need to get back on track soon. That means more expenses on living and such. I am currently living at my parents’ place, working on commissions to get money because there is not much else I can do. Because of bureaucracy I will start receiving my student allowance and loan in October the earliest and I have all this time before that to survive by some means. I should be entitled to living support but it’s uncertain because of bureaucracy. I was supposed to get the remaining part of my exchange stipend when I returned to Finland but it’s stuck because of bureaucracy. There is going to be one convention in September but I will need funds for ordering the prints that I will sell. But I have no source of income whatsoever, selling my art aside, and I have so much at a stake here. I found my dream apartment, I have planned and organized my life and made plans and everything would be fine. Except that I can’t pay for it. My parents have been supporting me, more than enough and I owe them so much. Also literally. They said they would support me as long as is needed, but my family isn’t wealthy and I don’t want to be a leech, I don’t want them to have to pay for my expenses, I don’t want to keep asking for help or being helped without having asked much longer. It’s about pride but it’s also about wanting and being supposed to support myself. This has been stressing me out as hell ever since I returned from Italy. I don’t think a day has gone by that money hasn’t been the source of my foul mood and stress. I’ve mostly been optimistic about it, I live by the thought that things have the tendency to turn out alright. Now it’s worse. I’m really stressed, angry, tired and I can’t sleep. It’s stressing me out as hell and I don’t know how much longer I can take it. Needless to say is that all my personal projects, my art, my Nuzlocke, streaming etc. is pretty much reduced to zero and will continue to be so until my situation is resolved. I don’t want it to be this way but I have no other choice. I hate to do this but please, I need your help. I will probably regret this in the morning but if this will help me get at least some sleep tonight I’ll risk it. Check out my commissions. Check out my traditional art sale. Having successfully executed numerous panels at a wide range of conventions, jaeger co-pilots Judith (@loltsundere) and Dan (@championkingdan) finally decide...

I know I’ve been talking about this for some time, but it’s finally happened. juudisu and I have gotten our brand new podcast, Critical Hit, off the ground! Here we’ll be talking about things in the news that are relevant to our interests, primarily relating to video games and animation. We also do dramatic readings and plan on doing more reviews as we get going. I know I have a whole Steam library to get through and there’s never a shortage of animation for Judith to tear apart.

Hopefully you’ll take some time to listen to us. Maybe have it play in the background while you do other things since our voices are so wonderful~

If not, maybe you could do us a favour and spread the word. We’re trying to get our names out there and we need your help to do so.

This feels really boring to read, sorry! This is a guide to writing Dark Horse standard comics, but really, if you’re writing comics for yourself, you should make sure the script is clear for you.

There is no set standard for comics, unlike script for TV/Radio, you won’t get smashed in the throat for deviating. As long as it makes sense, go for it! Also, this is just my approach; I’m not a comic god. Just go forth and create, that’s the most important thing!

To celebrate the launch of my webcomic Ornithia, I’ve uploaded First Flight to Youtube. First Flight is my senior film about two Ornithia characters, in which Kia, with the help of her mother Aria, works up the courage to test her wings. It’s crazy to realize this animation is now a few months shy of being a year old!

Yeehaw! My webcomic Exkost finally starts posting regularly as of today! You can read it here on our webcomic collective site, The Silent Chord. Exkost has been a personal project of mine for some years now and it feels good to get the wheels rolling.

I'm so proud of our Silent Chord team for coming this far (after 3ish years of planning no less!) and for all of the motivation and support that they've given me. I know I wouldn't be posting today it it wasn't for them. So, thank you TSC, and thank you tumblr friends for helping me get this far. I hope I won't let you down!

I'm very excited Exkost finally will have a home at The Silent Chord and that I'll get to be posting with other rad artists and their comics! If you haven't heard me blarb on about the story of Exkost here's a synopsis: Since the catastrophic event of Chernobyl, Kost has gained super human strength and speed. However his powers are not without consequence: every time he activates them he loses approximately one year of his life. It is only until Kost forms an unlikely partnership with kid genius Exton Grey and Scotland Yard D.I Del Demitry that he is able to find others that have powers based on psudo-science, and uncover a sickening crime the world has never seen.
