              The more Spinel stretched her arms and tried to reach out for the stranger, the more the stranger just…. disappeared and reappered back and back, out of her reach.  The little gem couldn’t hide a surprise in her face at first, but this soon was substituted by a very wide and playful smile when her limbs came back to their original state.

              This sounded so FUN!!! A whole new game, with someone who could ACTUALLY keep up with the pinkette’s pace.  This wasn’t something that’d happen just every day!!

              Giggling happily, Spinel made sure to curl her arms and use them as … some sort of springs she used to jump high, intended to land right behind her very new FRIEND.

                     ‘ WOAH!! Y’r GOOD at this!!!! ‘

     lena couldn’t help but smile just as wide as the other did. how very adorable. she watched as the peculiar being sprung herself into the air and take aim towards her. the pilot stood there for a moment, watching, utterly impressed by the stranger’s skillset. she pondered how she came to acquire such unique abilities, but before lena could come to any meaningful conclusions-- the other had been about to land just behind her.

     and the very second she did, lena rewound. one second, two, three... she was a blue blur as she went further back in her timestream until she had ended up back where she started-- just narrowly avoiding the stranger’s grasp once again.

“ well i do pride myself on bein’ th’ best! ” she giggles.

            it wasn’t like Spinel have ever been in her best shape for a good while now, but…. hearing a slightly familiar voice made the gem almost jump behind from the ground with eyes widened.  She’s been sitting there, alone, perhaps for a couple days now.

                    ‘ Uh…… y-yea….. I am, I…. guess. ‘           wait, wasn’t it… that human girl she met once?

“ i can’t say i believe ya. ya look awfully lonely out here... ”

     lena approached slowly, so as to not startle the stranger more than she already had. from a distance, she had noticed the wild pink twintails the stranger donned-- and they had reminded her of someone-- yet she thought nothing of it at first. it was likely nothing more than a coincidence. but as the pilot came closer, she could properly make out the features of the other. features that she recognized. features that reminded her of that person-- that alien she had met once upon a time.

     now, if there’s one thing anybody should know about lena-- it’s that she doesn’t forget names, and she certainly doesn’t forget faces.

Stretches arms to try to catch her - babey!spinel

    across the way, lena had noticed a peculiar looking being-- a small, pink, almost child-like individual that closely resembled cartoon characters from classic shows she remembered watching when she was just a child herself-- looking right at her. a (rather large, lena thought) heart-shaped jewel lay in the center of her chest, but it did not seem like a simple adornment. it appeared as though the gemstone was a part of her form-- not that she was one to judge, she had seen far stranger things over the years.

    she moved closer to the stranger, eager to say hello.and that’s when the other stretched her arms outward, looking to take hold of her. but luckily for lena, her reflexes were swift. she blinked backwards- once, twice-- until she was a sufficient distance from the pink being, just narrowly avoiding her grasp in the process. it took lena a moment to process the event, but when she took one look at the stranger-- she could somehow tell that she had no ill intent. in fact, to lena-- she seemed rather pleased that she didn’t catch her.so for now, she’d play along.

“ woah, woah, woah--!you’re gonna have’ta be a bit faster than that if ya wanna catch me, love!! ”
