See, on one hand that was also my first reaction- like is he just having rations on the regular?? But- i think Easthies is the type to not do anything that might jeopardize his integrity as deputy knight (or what the title is) like to the point he’d keep himself healthy just for that. So before the demotion, no- I don’t think so

BUT, i also thought maybe now that he isn’t really a knight, he might not go/ask for meals from the great hall because, in his head, he failed his duty as knight- and that’s like his form of self retaliation

Mb for the rant, i love Easthies’ character dm i will yap whenever the opportunity is given

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it is canon that he doesn't actually take care of himself. Like, I imagine he's so focused on his work and training as a knight that it's not a priority for him to care for himself other then the basic necessities.

Also, I do think it would be so interesting if he does avoid going into more public areas as to avoid the shame of being a knight who failed. Like we know the witches in the great hall love to gossip.

Also, I love finding other people who like Easthies, so pls tell me all you thoughts on him 😁
