i started reading the manga not long after the anime had been announced and ahhhh the anime has been so beautiful so far 🥺

the way that, because of his own eyesight troubles, qifrey would have been the perfect teacher for tartah in learning how to navigate life as a witch with his specific disability. but unfortunately tartah is the one child qifrey failed so immensely it further radicalized him against witches 💀

keep thinking about how incredible beldaruit really is. like. after everything qifrey had been through and all the trauma beldaruit probably had to help him with he was able to raise qifrey into, not only an amazing person, but a really fantastic teacher as well. and qifrey was his first apprentice too!! he absolutely deserves that “wise in teachings” status are u joking

this may be a hot take? but i feel like some of the fandom is being weirdly unforgiving of tartah. yes forcing the truth out of coco was wrong but is it not so obvious that a main theme of the arc was expecting truth from people you’re meant to trust? coco herself was demanding that truth from qifrey, would it not have been hypocritical to lie to tartah about it? like i said, it was wrong to force the truth from her, but he is also a child and this is something so important to his character he was willing to brand himself with that spell seemingly forever because of how sick the secretive witch society was making him

and i’ve also seen people express confusion on why he chose to leave with custas but?? he loves and cares about him and also understands him. he is also a disabled child in a world that was not made for him. even after custas himself hurt tartah he knew this all started because their society was rotten and it has hurt him so much he was willing to leave everyone he knew to be with someone who understood and didn’t have anyone else
