Hey guys, 

This post should start out with something like “it is with a heavy heart that we write to you today,” but the truth is that neither of us have any regrets or any sadness in saying that, after a really great, wonderful run of nearly six months, we feel like the final grains of sand have fallen through the time turner. 

We have nothing but beautiful, wonderful memories of this RP, memories that we’ll both be treasuring forever. In every way, every single one of you have exceeded every hope and expectation we had when we started building this RP. The simple fact of the matter is that every RP has a life cycle, and we’re reaching the end of our life cycle here at Time Turner. 

We’ve made wonderful, wonderful friends here, and we hope that we keep in touch with every one of you. Please, please, please message the main with your personals so we can stay close. You guys have become a family to us, and we’re wishing on every star for you all to stay in our lives. 

Okay, that was the tough part. Now for the cool part. 

As we said before, every RP has a life cycle, and every RP will, someday, die. The thing is, if there’s one thing we’ve learned it’s that, to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure. And we have a great adventure lined up to come. 

Come on, you didn’t think we were going to be disappearing on you, did ya?

Running RPs is in our blood, and, and the universe of Harry Potter is our home, and now, with the dusk of Time Turner on the horizon, we feel that it’s finally, finally, finally time for us to start the RP we’ve always dreamed of running. 

It’s with incredible pride and excitement that we’d like to introduce you to our latest project: Aurors

That’s right. We’re starting an RP about the Aurors department, and it’s going to be sick. The only thing that could make it more exciting than it already is is if you guys check it out, love it as much as we do, and join us at the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. 

Finally, we’d just like to thank you, every one of you. Every player and applicant, every anon, every single person who’s looked at our little Marauders RP and seen something worth devoting your time to. We’ve been overwhelmed with your goodness and talent every single step of the way. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. 

And we hope that next time we see you, it’ll be in the Ministry.

WYATT PERRY ❆ SIXTH YEAR ❆ RAVENCLAW ❆ MUGGLEBORN ❆ OPEN

Wyatt Perry grew up in his mother’s art studio, standing on tip toes and watching over her shoulder as she made something where there was once nothing just with brushes and paint and her brilliant brain. He got his first easel and set of oil paints when he was 10, but soon learned he his artistic talent wasn’t limited to just one medium. Ceramics, graffiti, metal-working, architecture - Wyatt is always in the middle of some project or another, each one even more varied and outlandish as the last.

Though smart as a whip and a hard worker when he has the incentive to be, Wyatt has never performed extraordinarily in school. He’s always too busy sketching on a spare bit of paper or fiddling with a lump of clay underneath the table, his interest in creating not so easily impeded by something as insignificant as a reading assignment. He continues attending school out of respect for her mother’s wishes, but it’s never stopped him from ditching class to work on his life-sized sculpture of the human body made entirely of gum wrappers.

ERICKA SAMSONITE ❆ SIXTH YEAR ❆ HUFFLEPUFF ❆ MUGGLEBORN ❆ OPEN

Dark streets and cold bedrooms, hungry nights and early mornings. Ericka survived her mother, and her mother’s crazed, violent boyfriends. She survived the streets of the Bronx and the bitter winters of New York. She scratched and clawed her way to everything she’s ever had, from every single bite of food she’s ever eaten all the way up to her admission to the Salem Academy. And now that it’s gone, she’ll survive that too.

She’ll survive it because she can. Because that’s who she is. Because when she needed to know how to fight, she learned how, and when she needed to defend herself, she did it so decisively that everyone, from the streets of New York to the corridors of Salem, knew better than to mess with her after. She’ll survive this move to Hogwarts with all the grace of a starving tiger, lithe and lean and graceful and angry, with a mighty roar and the claws to back it up. She’ll survive, because if the cold cruelty of the world didn’t defeat her, there’s no way Lord Voldemort will.

ANGELICA BROCKLEHURST ❆ SIXTH YEAR ❆ SLYTHERIN ❆ MUGGLEBORN ❆ OPEN

Angelica is a planner. She has an organizer - which doubles as her life companion -  that’s practically brimming with sticky notes and colored tabs and important dates scribbled down in glitter pen detailing every point of her day down to the minute. With an absentee mother and a father who’s all but completely checked out of her life, she long ago decided that the worst thing a person could be was undependable. So she’s made it her life’s mission to be on time and prepared for everything the universe throws her way. Around school, she’s known as the girl who, even under the most extenuating circumstances, never asks for an extension.

She’s also known as the resident people-pleaser, her need to impress and achieve almost obsessive and quite often called annoying by teachers and students alike. She’s always apologizing for things that aren’t her fault or taking the fall for someone else’s mistakes in hopes that it will gain her their favor. No one’s sever sure if she’s being nice to them because she likes them or she just wants them to like her, and it’s left the Friday-night slots in her organizer embarrassingly empty.

RUSSELL LAVEAU ❆ SIXTH YEAR ❆ GRYFFINDOR ❆ PUREBLOOD ❆ OPEN

He grew up green, surrounded by the Spanish moss and the verdant sunlight and the thick algae of the bayous of Louisiana.  Not that his parents would ever have encouraged such a thing – boyish romps were below the wealthy aristocratic Laveau family name. Descended from the line of the voodoo queen Marie Laveau herself, the Laveau family still enjoyed the social admiration and niceties that sprang from their ancestry even after the American Magical Congress declared voodoo to be an insidious branch of the Dark Arts and banned it from practice inside the borders of the United States.

Of course, as far as the government’s records showed, Russell’s family abandoned the practice the very moment it was declared unfit for lawful wizards and witches. In the safe secrecy of the Laveau’s stately plantation, though, voodoo remained a way of life, nearly a religion, and Russell’s zealot father in particular pushed voodoo as the only way of life, especially upon his son, who wanted nothing to do with the dark, hateful magic. All his life Russell has yearned to break out of the darkness of his family’s reputation and into the sunlight…and the fall of the Salem School and his relocation to Hogwarts might finally be his chance.

DYLAN SAGE ❆ SIXTH YEAR ❆ GRYFFINDOR ❆ PUREBLOOD ❆ OPEN

Dylan Sage was the first Sage in a long line of Sages not to posses the sight. She had in fact descended from one of the original Salem witches whose visions of the future came in such striking clarity at such inopportune moments that, despite her relative success in keeping her magic cloaked, her psychic episodes drew enough attention to make her the victim of speculation. The seers in Dylan’s line seem to have only gotten more powerful as the gift was passed down, until it all came to an abrupt halt with her. It took her parents quite some time to realize she didn’t posses their abilities, and when they finally did, they weren’t quite sure how to deal with it.

Dylan’s taken the whole business of disappointing her family with a surprising amount of grace. She almost think it’s better this way, to have someone a little grounded around to remind her more eccentric family members not to assume zebras when they hear hoof beats. She’s even managed to almost shake her family’s legacy within the halls of the Salem Academy, going above and beyond to prove to everyone that what she lacked in psychic power, she more than made up for in magical ability. Even still, however, it always felt like a cloud over her shoulders, a burden she was forced to bear. Getting away from Salem and starting over at Hogwarts might just be exactly what she needs.

ANDY FISCHER ❆ SIXTH YEAR ❆ SLYTHERIN ❆ HALFBLOOD ❆ OPEN

Everyone laughs at Andy. It’s not because he’s awkward or ugly or dumb. He’s not a loner, by any means – quite the opposite, in fact. Laughter and kindness and friendship follow Andy wherever he goes, like wildflowers springing up in his step. No, that’s not why he’s teased by his classmates and his friends. Everyone laughs at him not for who he is, but what he loves. Because what he loves more than anything, what drives his passion and makes his heart race, isn’t quidditch or football or even transfiguration, which may have been acceptable. What Andy loves is Ancient Runes.

He’s the only person in generations at Salem who does, and the only person at Hogwarts, too. But Andy knows something that everyone else doesn’t: that runes are universal, and beautiful, and, more importantly, pulsing with power. And as far as Andy is concerned, it’s just as well that he’s the only one who realizes their untapped potential. Surrounded by the ancient, Andy has learned secrets that no other wizard alive knows, all hidden in the deft strokes of the runes.

BREAKING NEWS: American School Destroyed in Act of Terrorism

The Dark Mark was spotted tonight in Salem, Massachusetts over the destroyed remains of America's Salem Academy of Magic. The institution has stood in America for over three hundred years, and was the only known American institution for magical education.

British Aurors suspect that Dark Pureblood Activists targeted the school tonight because of the increased power of the Dark Arts on the night of the Winter Solstice. The American Magical Congress is reporting an extensive list of casualties, including the Headmaster of the Salem Academy, Artemis Syd.

The American Magical Government has declared the attack an act of terrorism and believe that the terrorists hail from the British Isles. "America and Britain have long been friends," Minister Gloryflower commented upon being interviewed by the Daily Prophet. "We join their nation in mourning and will be doing everything in our power to offer them aid, assistance, and asylum in this time of need."

Though the future of the surviving students is as of yet unclear, the Hogwarts Board of Governors has agreed to accept an unknown number of displaced students from America at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

"We thank our friend and ally Britain in this time of need and mourning," the American President of Magic announced at an emergency press conference earlier tonight. "And we trust that the sons and daughters of America will make their country proud at their new home at Hogwarts."

So I know this is a lame answer to that question, but we don’t really have most wanted characters. No character here has pre-determined importance, it all depends on how active and involved the player decides to make them. We encourage you to pick whichever skeleton bio/concept you have the most muse for!

AND NOW, A WORD FROM THE ESTEEMED CYGNUS BLACK...

My, my, Hogwarts is certainly…festive, isn’t it? I trust the Headmaster will have this unpleasant reindeer situation well in hand before it become a matter of concern for the Board of Governors. After all, I do hate to think of my girls in such unsanitary conditions. I’m sure I wouldn’t be the only one.

In any case, I’m hardly here to discuss Reindeer, not when the staff of Hogwarts has been so dreadfully remiss in discussing every holiday celebration this time of year. They choose to focus on the banal, when in fact we approach the most wild and exciting night of the year. The day of longest darkness. The night when Dark Magic is at its most potent.

The Winter Solstice.

Mr. Riddle believes - and the Board of Governors agrees, quite unanimously, after hearing his rhetoric on the subject - that it is of utmost importance for students to know and celebrate the traditions of the dark witches and wizards. I am greatly pleased, therefore, to announce that the Winter Solstice will be celebrated here at Hogwarts, in the outskirts of the Forbidden Forest, where we can all celebrating the unbinding of our dark magic.

I trust I will see many of your there. Indeed, I look forward to it.

Time Turner RP’s sixth official event, the Whimsical Winter Frostival, will be round out with the Solstice Celebration, beginning tonight, Saturday, November 21, and lasting until Sunday evening. The Solstice is a celebration of all things Dark, and will probably appeal more to Pureblood students of a more...dubious heritage. That having been said, everyone is invited to participate in the event.

Professor McGonagall stepped in front of the podium, icy eyes roaming over the chattering students, feeling pettily prideful when their conversation all bust ceased at her gaze. She cast one last disdainful but fond look back at Albus before clearing her throat. “Some of you may know that after reading a glowing review of the performance written by Alaric Hodgekiss, The Prophet's toughest critic, your headmaster had booked a Rudolph Daly's Roaming Reindeer Routine for entertainment during the hot chocolate social after dinner tonight. Mr. Daly arrived this morning, but it appears there has been… a complication in getting the reindeers from the loading caravan to the Great Hall.”

Suppressing a smile at the quiet giggles that rose from the first years at her account, she pressed on. “A few of you may have noticed them wandering about the grounds -  I've been told there's a pack currently occupying the fourth floor lavatory, best you avoid that at all costs - but I assure you there's no cause for alarm. Mr. Daly himself has promised that his reindeers are not harmful creatures, despite their tendency to defecate on every flat surface readily available. We are doing our best to get the situation under control, our groundskeeper and Mr. Filch have been hard at work wrangling them, but it might be a day or so before they've been entirely cleared out.”

She cast the students a stern look over her square spectacles.“If we all report reindeer sightings to faculty members as soon after the event as possible, we should be cervidae-free shortly. In the meantime, let's all try to make the best of an admittedly strange situation. There is a certain festivity to their presence, and the droppings will give you all a chance to practice your Scourgify charms.”

There is now a herd of reindeer wandering about the castle. They’re in the bathrooms, the classrooms, the Great Hall, and we all know it’s only a matter of time before they infiltrate the dorms. Mr. Filch will probably get the situation handled by tomorrow afternoon, but for tonight and tomorrow morning, the castle is currently under invasion.
