Annie Leibovitz

This photograph was a composite. The justices would not agree to be photographed together so Annie photographed each separately and we combined the two frames into the final image. Several years after this photograph was made I met Justice O’Connor and mentioned that I had worked for Annie. She expressed how much she disliked Annie, I’m guessing this image might have something to do with those feelings.
