OOC: Wow, I got an email saying this blog has turned 1 this week. I had almost forgotten. Such a pity to think that in all this time I haven't even played with half of my followers and spent the last 6 months innactive. However, I still log in every now and then to take a look at the dashboard and stalk blogs I love, RPing blogs included. I'd like to apologize to all those to whom I never replied, you are all great RPers, really!

and then we have jack, a pureblood slytherin who incidentally is oswald’s bff and who has made it his life’s mission to catalogue oswald’s 85697 variations of stoneface. he likes to steal oswald’s potions notes even though jack has a natural knack for the subject…he’s a jerk and oswald frequently has to keep him in line. or threaten his manhood whatever

❧Easter? On a Sunday? Oh yes. But it seemed the Duke was rather caught up in his own festivities. Well the young Poe might have to break him out. With the shift of the bunny ears on her head and the colored dress of blues with pinks she slipped into the room he was staying in.
Seeing rather, occupied she decided to place a hard boiled and colored egg on his desk. “Arthur~” She chimed. “What are you working on?” She looked over his shoulder as she stood on her tippey toes to watch him.
The sound of the footsteps was getting louder, someone was coming in, and he was quite sure of who it was. “Well, hello, Miss Poe” hurried to shut the book on his desk –a diary he had been updating since his introduction to the Poe household. Spinning in his sit to greet her properly , his glance went straight to the bunny ears and the coloured egg. The idea of the Easter souvenir being for him did cross his mind, and was soon driven away by those “you’re not a real Poe” thoughts.
“I’m doing nothing at all” he pushed the book away, still with the pen in hand “Oh… did you make that?” some enthusiasm hidden in his voice as he pointed at the egg “Happy Easter for you, by the way!"

❧ “Alright.” She smiled as a cheerful tone came out of the blonde, although she sounded older then how she looked. “Arthur. Shall we get going to the estate?” She blinked her large amber hues that carried innocence but untold dark secrets behind the dark long lashes that perfectly battered when she blinked. In fact everything about her carried that innocent glow. Her hair even had a shine off of it making it look like it had a slight halo to it. She clasped her hands behind her back. Watching him idly. He was now considered a Poe. The question was - did he know what this meant? What the family entelled on?
This meant he had to assist her in meetings and such. Other problems could surface among other dukedoms. The most important thing was the fact that he was going to have to learn about the family chain: The Lizard. As well as other things. Such as who was in the head slot know - it being her. Maybe she would have to teach him fencing as he could teach her about other things.
Oh yes that sounded delightful! She could jump with joy. Which she didn’t; she was a lady and that was highly unlady like. Such as the details of…Many…Other things she did that was considered unlady like. But that was a story for a next tail. Now that didn’t matter. All that mattered was getting him home and settled in. He was a gentleman after all.
At first relief came to him as that smile grew in her lips, though it wouldn’t last long. She didn’t answer when he asked her name, instead, like one older she spoke quite formally and Arthur couldn’t tell, judging from that mask of a smile, if she actually approved of his rather immature introduction as “Arthur Poe”. Perhaps she had taken it as an offense to their name.
“As you wish” he followed that deceiving glow of hers with his eyes. Why would all inquirers mention that he would leave that room he had grown to hate then shut the door before him? Would this girl be any different? Attending to the urge, the man stood from his seat, waiting for her lead to way to said estate. He found himself wondering what it was like and whether they would get there soon.
“Apart from the name, is there anything else I’ll need to be part of such household?” If he was to share her surname, then his 'disguise' would be that of some relative of hers. But which one and how long he would be allowed to go on with such 'cover' was another question he dare not ask. “May I ask” for etiquette’s sake.
"Oh my, where did you all come from all of a sudden?"
The town was still absolutely beautiful, there was no way she could get used to it. She found herself comparing it to its future self, looking at all the buildings to see if she recognized anything, but the lively buildings were nothing like the abandoned, crumbling buildings they would turn into. She was dwelling on it again, she had to stop that and enjoy her time there while it lasted.
Suddenly, Arthur draped a scarf around her shoulders. She looked up with surprise as he spoke, a rosy blush spreading across her cheeks. Then a smile lit her face. “Thank you!” She exclaimed with a bob of her head as a grateful bow.
She didn’t really own much, just the few dresses and shoes Lady Sharon had bought for her, and she wasn’t too comfortable wearing those. She was comfortable in her pink dress, it was what she had always donned as a doll so she was used to it. Anything else she had in her possession was the occasional gift of sweets from Break, or something she had snatched from the others’ rooms, and when she snatched something she always gave it back, it was just a game and it even captured the others’ attentions.
Lips hid a sly smile pleased with her reaction, as he gently drove his hands back to the scarf to help wrapping it round her neck then gather both ends before her chest like a braid of sorts. “Don’t mention it” It was quite uncommon for him to meet with people like her, who were easily impressed like that.
Her odd stares at the surroundings hinted she wasn’t used to that sight yet. What kind of sight was used to anyways? Once again the question would haunt him and as he cast his glance at the very same building that drew her attention before he gave the scarf, the words were finally escaped his lips. “Is there anything like this in your homeland, Miss?”
She could refuse to answer of course, or fear he would fill her with too many other questions that usually follow that one he made –where are you from? How did you get here? Why? All the irritating trivial questions used to start chats with, and that made him just as irritating.

“Onee-chan would prefer it if you called her Lottie.” The pinkette mused, fingers resting on slender hips. “I suppose it’s an honor to meet you as well. I’ll be nice and not grab my scissors.” Yes, the Baskerville had a pair which she often threatened Jack with.
“Well, well…” Eyebrows raised in annoyance. He was well aware that hairstyle was in no way his area of expertise and his own hair was far from good, but it wasn’t any pleasant to hear it from a stranger.
He pushed some bangs from his forehead, trying to fake a calm look “Does my hair bother you this much, Miss Lottie” For some reason, he also couldn’t picture himself referring to her so informally.

“I’m afraid I’m not so fond of games, ma’am” he clucked spinning on his heel to face the lady who addressed him those quite odd greetings. She was a really lively young woman, contrasting with his usual quite personality, and that drove the red-head to wonder what may have caused her to attempt to communicate with him “hmm…Nice to meet you, Miss…” said him with a little hesitance in his voice, studying her while keeping his narrow eyes away from cruel-looking, wide ones “Baskerville, I presume” judging by the red fabrics she wore.
I have no idea what’s what in this anymore.
