hello out there, you can call me leirin. this is my personal blog that is used mainly for reblogging and the occasional actual journal post as well. some common subjects you will find: old rock/pop bands (with a special affinity for Sparks), 20th century japanese art and media, nintendo games/other mascot-oriented series, animation, and toys.

I haven't been able to stop thinking about these tags I got, it's super sweet and funny. I always wondered (because so much of what I draw doesn't necessarily appeal to the same crowd) if anyone would end up thinking Sparks were characters i made up, or from a game or cartoon. I have introduced at least a few people to them by drawing them and that's probably one of my better achievements.

I made another Gilbert!

I liked the first one I made, but I wanted to redo him with my current more anime-like style of sculpting faces (I love how the shojo eyes turned out) + make a full body figure. I still need to add his jacket on the shoulders but I was just too eager to post it!

It’s warm again and I’m craving the beach. But not just any beach. Specifically a beach with beautiful cliffs, crystal clear ice-cold water, and vibrant green algae. I don’t live near one of those so I will draw it instead 🌊
