I mean, every queer person that watched the latest episode have all said that what Nakamura is going through is relatable.
I'm not saying it's not normal for Nakamura to experience that.
It's already so hard to know you're different than most of the people or loving someone even though you know they are not like you.
Nakamura is actually often seems like a silly character but he is relatable in many ways. But it always bugs me to see in media the show ends with the character accepting or seeing the person they loved being "normal" and just staying friends with them. I know it's what mostly happens in real life its reality. You're being a outsider while people around you experience love. I just think Nakamura deserves being happy with getting together with the person he likes instead of thinking his friend is "normal" and going to live a normal life being not like him.
Maybe they wouldn't end it like this I'm not sure because it would be so depressing for a show like this but there is a chance they would only stay friends in the ending and all the anime would be only about Nakamura just being awkward around Hirose.
