Not even fully out yet, but I'm so very proud of the (possibly) haworthia's first flower :)

Rachel Sussman, The Oldest Living Things in the World, 2004-present.
Since 2004 artist Rachel Sussman has been researching, working with biologists, and traveling all over the world to photograph continuously living organisms 2,000 years old and older. The work spans disciplines, continents, and millennia: it’s part art and part science, has an innate environmentalism, and is driven by existential inquiry. She begins at ‘year zero,’ and looks back from there, photographing the past in the present. Together, her portraits capture the living history of our planet – and what we stand to lose in the future.

蔦まみれの事務所→詳細 Abandoned office invaded by ivy.
So my friend and his brother are really into italo disco and decided they wanted to make a sorta.. video-mixtape. He just sent me the link now and it's fucking big time bombdiggity!
Immense pride, even if optimal care for string o hearts seems to be 'water occasionally, otherwise ignore'
It was here that I took an unintentional 40 minute detour
Had a go at roasting my own chickpeas n lentils today, wanted to add the savoury Krunch to salads. Those shown above were after ~40 mins at 190, and were still totally soft, zero crunch. Baare tasty though
The rest are still in the oven, although I'm concerned too long may burn the spicing (cumin, paprika, black pepper, thyme n salt btw). You can also see a few pickled onions which I put on like three weeks ago, pretty surprised at how easy n tasty they turned out to be
We love the kelp forest here at the Aquarium—inside and out!
I wasn't going to rooble this because it was on 666 notes, but I sure do love a kelp forest
Smelt pretty nice here, like a 'fresher than fresh flowers' kinda smell
And the selfies! Featuring me giving a yoga lesson, delft, somewhere near gouda, and The Buttplug
The Leiden botanical gardens had a pretty extensive nepenthes collection! Apparently decent orchids too, but they were closed off because of plant thievin' bastards
