Droopy eyes staggered open and an ill feeling cascaded down highways in his broken body, welling up in general area of his chest and heart. He seized up again, but this time he just let up the build up out in thick messes of tears. Beyond the massive hurt he had caused in the wake of his absence, she was now hurting to save his sorry excuse of existence. His hand, already distanced from her cheek contracted back further as he realised fully what destruction he had truly caused. Veigar sorely wanted to sleep and wake up to a bliss of where the last weeks had not even happened. She had to know, and it put his chances of the other yordle ever wanting to see his face again. To lie was just to put off further hurt until it proved to much to handle.
In between sharp sniffles and tense body movements, he turned to face her, his eyes pained in both his and her condition. His first attempts to speak spluttered nothing but incoherent whimpering. Veigar could not bear to see her like this, she was hurting for his own benefit and the weight that issued was greater than any mortal infliction that was placed on his disfigured form.
“I d-didn’t want this to happen.” He whimpered, keeping his eyes on her. “I just.. t-thought..” He paused, looking blankly down in his own horror.
He thought that he could prevent her from becoming a victim of his own tainted pursuits of anarchy. In his demented thinking he failed to realise he could do far worse damage in just his absence. In his wandering he just further lost himself to the landscape. His gaze returned to her.
“I thought I could save you from myself. I thought I was slowly leading you to your death.”
He did not realise at the time that he would set off the actions of his concerns by himself, and himself only. The mage trembled violently. The blood on his body might as well have been hers. The sorceress was truly his better half; his compass and beloved. He could he be so blind to his actions?
“There’s nothing I would give you up for, my love. I was so wrong thinking that removing myself would do right. I never wanted to hurt you. I never wanted to hurt you..” Veigar broke out in spasmodic whimpers and he seized his grip onto his face, dragging down his skin and fur clutched in bloodied hands. He could not find the words to properly announce his shame, instead surrendered himself incomprehensive in distressed sobs.
