Zinc Plate Etching Workshop Part 1
Zinc Plate etching is a brand new process for me to work with and play around with. Etching is something I had never done before, so I was curious about the process in general but also the outcome we would get to create with the process itself.
The Process
We used brasso to polish the zinc plates first
We then degrease the plates using a paste which is a mix of whitening (found within chalk) and ammonia
The plate is dried and then placed on a hot plate, heated up and we applied hard ground once hot enough. The ground is then spread around the plate with a leather roller and then left to cool down
Once the plate has cooled down and the ground has dried we then get to smoke the plate. Placing the plate into a wooden holder and smoking the plate with fire to blacken the plate - this just makes it easier to see what your etching
then your etching into the plate with an etching needle
once you're done etching you tape up the back before placing it into acid to stop the acid from teaching away at the back of the plate
if you need to you apply 'stop out' onto your plate were needed to block out any part of your etching that was a mistake or a scratched
place the plate into acid for at least 30 minutes
wash off ground and stop out
roll on ink, and using scrim wipe of the ink
print onto paper that is soft and thick we used summer set paper that was soaked
print with an etching press
This process was enjoyable at times and then at the same time it was very time consuming and stressful. If I was to use this as a process or a focus within my fmp I would have to plan carefully and have time management to be a big consideration for the process. However, my favourite part of the process was smoking the plate, mostly because I find a bit of fire fun, not in a concerning pyromaniac way though. It's a simple part of the process that makes your life easier when you etching into the plate, which is another reason I like this part of the process.
Problem Solving
On my first print, I didn't realise we needed to remove the stop out, that covered catches or unwanted marks from the acid for printing - really it should've been obvious that I needed to remove it but I didn't. So as annoyed as I was, I went back removed the stop out and reapplied my ink and that's when I ran into my second issue.
Then on my second print, my first clear print, free of sticky zinc plates, I hadn't realised I'd lost detail as well as basic lines for my t-rex and has consequently printed an incomplete dinosaur. So I went back with the etching needle and dry etched directly onto the plate, The third time was the charm for my print and my problem solving did eventually pay off and I was able to have a clear print where I could see in full what I had etched onto my plate.
Outcomes & Reflection
I'm pleased with my outcomes, well my third in particular because it was the first outcome to outcome as I anticipated but I don't like how squashed all of my lettering was especially at the bottom. I was more focused on writing all the letters backwards correctly than spacing and sizing the letters - so that's something to be conscious of if I use lettering again within etching.
Also mirror writing itself, is very difficult, not fun and takes a lot of brain power to make sure everything is correct. I know some might find mirror writing easier than others but my god did I struggle with mirror writing.
Overall the one thing I am happier about than other part of my print is the Simpsons reference I managed to sneak into my work. I used one of the proposed names for the 3 different species of t-rex from a news article this piece of work is based on from the previous day. The name proposed was 'tyrant lizard queen' and if you've watched the Simpson enough you'll likely know the phrase 'I Am The Lizard Queen' from Lisa Simpson. So naturally, I saw the opportunity and ceased it, and now I have a Simpson reference within my work.
Something I did really like about the etching process and looking at other people's work is that you have the ability to be ambitious with what you choose to etch and how you can execute that. You can create realistic and beautiful prints with time and skill - there are also different ways to use zinc plate etching other than just directly scratching onto the plate, you can add tone and create even further detailed pieces of work.
The process itself is fun and I did enjoy it but on the other hand, it's also time consuming and stressful at times also if your include text you'll next a spare 20 minutes to figure out how to write it all backwards. Like most things in life, this process has its pros and cons and although at the moment I can't see if I would use it as one of the main processes for my fmp I can say I'm interested in the process and the potential l what I could do with it.
But would I do it again? Yes, I would I found the process to interesting have a lot of potential depending on how I could utilise it in the future. I can see myself finding a way to bring the process into my work in the future, how - I'm not sure yet but I would love to see it make a return within my work. But from just doing the first part of the process I want to see what else I can create, that's more detailed and challenges me to draw and attempt to push myself.
Next week I'm excited to create a photosensitive plate and see how it differs from scratching in your own work next week. But I also want to see how the photo works differently to directly etching onto a plate.
Group Critique - Week 1
It was absolutely nerve-wracking to speak in front of everyone and everyone wasn't even the whole class but half of the class - yet I still found it scary to do so. It was a new experience for the course because so far, we haven't been asked to present in front of each other - where you're putting your work on display to be discussed and essentially leaves you feeling very vulnerable.
My overall feedback for my own work as well as pieces of feedback given to others and using it as a point for my own work:
explore 'fun and interactive' within your work
spell/grammar check your work
look further into using relief print as a way to get a series of outcomes that differ from each other but although for the overlap of colours and layers
consider using the risograph as a new process
consider playing around with scale
remember your audience
look into typography/fonts for future text work
When I was presenting my work I got nervous and that's when I got stuck on repeat using the same words to describe my work, which was fun and interactive. I know I can sound like a broken record however, I did get feedback based on my use of words and what I displayed and it was positive feedback. I was encouraged to lean into and continue exploring work based around fun and interactivity, which can be done in so many ways especially if I have my audience focused younger where it's based on learning and finding ways to make learning more interesting.
I think that as well as acknowledging my own feedback, using and writing other people's feedback as well as ideas presented is a good way to start trying out new ideas. It gives you new points to consider within your own work and gives you other perspectives to consider my future pieces of work.
As nervous as I was to present my work, it was a great way to get advice from peers as well as give advice back to others and ask questions about each other's processes. It was an amazing way to be more insightful to each other's processes, outcomes and inspiration and how they got to where they did as their end point.
Using Newspapers & Production Within Art
The session focused on production in art and what that means to us and the various ways that 'production' in art can be interpreted. Personally, I thought of it as the making of a final product and of course, the was several other ways to see this.
We were asked to create a mind map, full of connections relating to what we had found about the article, I ended up with film, tv and theatre references within my mind map because they're where the first ideas came to mind whilst I was writing. For example, the proposal was from a research team in Baltimore, I related that to the musical hairspray because that's where it's set. Obviously, I did include more obvious links like history, nature, science, discovery, research, palanetologist etc.
I started firstly working digitally with reference images as the base for my work and here is where I was beginning to have a play around with the idea of dinosaurs and how to utilise them. I wanted to use the article and the information from the story but in this first iteration, it didn't use the story very well. Whilst it's fun and colourful it doesn't speak closely to the article and I really wanted to involve the story and tell the audience about this new interesting proposed discovery. This is when I realised my audience really was aiming towards children, the colour and style I was using was bright, colourful, simple. Also, it's a well known fact that children like dinosaurs or at least they did when I was younger but my point remains dinosaurs aren't as popular of a topic with adults or teens unless you have an interest in them.
Whilst, this iteration wasn't good for what I wanted to convey it didn't help me figure out the jumping off point for how I wanted to develop my work. It helped me figure out my audience and who I wanted to create my piece for and consider how it could be a product that could be mass produced, a product of production.
The came round 2 of the interpretation and finding a different way to produce this idea into a concept that could be mass produced. I focused on making this version of the t-rex fit the article and the connections I'd created on my mind map. The article revolves around explaining the group of researchers proposing that there could be three different species of t-rex. So I decided to change how the t-rex appeared I wanted him to friendly, smart and appear as a teacher.
This much softer and approachable appearance of the t-rex character is now dubbed 'Terry The Teaching T-Rex'. The softer linework makes the character more appealing to a younger audience, although I would change the font from my hand writing if I was to further work with this idea.
The newspaper college below is honestly my favourite, it makes use of the article I used for my inspiration and made the piece itself interactive. I also used gouache paints for the first time ever in any of my work, the paints themselves and colours I used had a vibrancy to them, which made the drawing appear very friendly and fun, I see it as a piece that could be used within illustration.
When I create this I definitely realised this is aiming very much at a younger audience of children, it's an interactive piece of work that encourages learning and reading.
This last set below was really a play around and see how I could use the software procreate to transform my work simply and make it appear to be a concept that could be mass produced. I came across a chromium effect and you were able to displace the layers which allowed for this beautiful overlap of so many colours and I loved it.
The overlap of colours themselves reminds me a lot of relief print and how all the colours work together to create this. So relief print could be a process to work with to further explore this type of outcome with colour and experiment with different colours and stencils.
Overall, I really did have a lot of fun and enjoyment drawing dinosaurs and I was able to bring a focus on drawing within my work. Having several iterations of the same piece allowed for playfulness within the work and trying ideas out to see if they work and what I think of them. Some have inspired ideas for processes I could possibly focus on for the future progression of my work and also thought provoking task in ways. It makes you take writing and find a way to transform these stories into art, into how you interpret the story with your style.
Reflection On Production
The session focused on production, the meaning of production to each of us differs because we all have a different interpretation of the word. I chose to use the word production to produce several different versions of my dinosaur digital art. Working digitally gives you this ease to very quickly work in a factory line like a way of producing identical products. Consciously, working with the idea of production at the back of my mind did affect my work in a way because I was thinking about how could this be made as a product o production.
However, it was helpful in a way to have it floating around at the back of my mind because it make me think of the opportunities with mass produced products and what my own work could be used for. I could see mine within a children's book about dinosaurs fun facts or a book where your taught about the different types of dinosaurs by a dinosaur. It makes you think of the possibilities within your own work.
Unit 2 - Assessment Feedback & Personal Targets For FMP
I'm really pleased with myself and glad about the improvement of my grade from the previous unit and want to keep this standard of work and if not further improve upon it. If I'm honest I did celebrate when my grade came through, I was just so happy and pleased with myself that I'd made such an improvement and my hard work for the project had paid off.
The three personal targets/goals I will set myself for this unit is to draw every day and as often as I can to not only work on my drawing/sketching skills but also so I can better translate to an audience what I'm trying to communicate.
My second target is to use photography in various ways to draw from either inspiration, creating colleges but also to give myself a wider range of visuals to work within my project.
For my third and final target, as much as I love print and would love to use it as one of the main processes within my project again I would like to explore different processes for the progression of my ideas and concepts.
Post It Notes Of Planning
Final Print Outcome 3
With this print I'm looking to take a previous print I really like and evolve it and develop it into something more. I'm using the tree imagery from my first final outcome 'move forward with your grief' to fill the void surrounding the main imagery and text.
Building On Previous Outcome
For this final outcome I'm building outcome during development when I was started to come into my 'talk about your grief' and 'move forward with your grief' ideas. I wanted to build upon the print from being a fairly simple two layer print that doesn't have much going on - i want to add to the print in some way that makes it more prnounced and eye catching that able to catch an audiences attention if they did see this out and about.
Plan/Mock Up
I'm not too sure about this as a print, it might look a whole lot better than the mock up print but that is reminded to be seen as of the time I'm writing this. I hoping to be pleasantly surprised by the outcome in person however I do have my original backup where I could do the red highlight and have the original print that bit more pronounced and have that vibrant red I love to use.
Now that I've typed the idea for the idea above I went ahead and made a mock up for it, so if I have enough time to do so, I think I'll try this print out as well because I think it could make for an effective if not just as effective print to use.
Of course, the bonus of this idea is that if I have time for both and I like both they can both be put forward as final outcomes and used in my superimposed works. Or if I like one and not their other and still have a print at the end of it all.
Problem Solving
There was only one problem that I had during the process of making this set of prints, which was actually ink related. The red I usually use to create my vibrant red to highlight in my prints was running low and so I had to improvise. I had to use a deeper red and add what I could of the normal brighter red, it worked mostly. However, the red was much darker and although it's still visible against a dark background it's doesn't highlight as well as a pure vibrant red.
Reflection
Lucky for me this set of prints didn't really require any problem solving, except for that paint issue, but it was still a good start as a whole, I really do love both of these prints. As I mentioned earlier I wasn't sure how the red trees would come out in person but they definitely came out much better than in the mock up, which is a relief to me because now I have another print for a final outcome.
Although I like both sets, I would definitely say I have a preference for the print without the trees and this is because it is a lot cleaner and doesn't have too much going on. I feel with the tree in the background makes the print seem very busy and there isn't really room for the main message or imagery. However, when I contrast it to the print below I much prefer it, the prints are to the point and you know where to focus without confusing or curious about what's going on behind the imagery and message.
Despite all that I'm happy that these prints came out nicely and weren't as complex as previous ideas and outcomes with several layers and precise registration marks to the millimetre. There were only 3 layers to work with and it didn't matter overly if a layer wasn't 100% correctly aligned along as it was within the area and close enough it was fine. It was really nice to have the final outcome I made to be the more relaxed of the bunch and a good way to finish off with final outcomes.
All in all, I was pleasantly surprised that my mock up idea with the tree turned out as well as it did, although it is too busy for my liking but I got another idea and print out of it. My alternative print using the highlight approach inspired by Shepard Fairy and his heavily constrasted images. So this last stage of final outcomes were a success and I just feel realived to be done with creating final outcomes and can now devivde my attention elsewhere.
Superimposed Final Outcomes
Tri-Fold/Three Fold Double Sided Leaflets
Business Cards
I know for the print directly above this text, the tumblr post text that was converted into a print is impractical as a business card however I'm superimposing for purpose of where I would have these prints used in situations. The text print would do far better as in a leaflet or as a poster for it to be readable by an audience.
I used business cards as another option to superimpose my prints onto because there's easy to pick up and for most of my prints they hold one simple, to the point message - so whilst some of detail to some prints could be lost the core message will still get to the audience.
Repurposing Old Prints
I've been in talks about repurposing old/previous prints I've made throughout this project to test different ideas and ideas, compositions. I like to think it's also an interesting way to see how all my ideas have developed throughout the project compared to my final outcomes.
These colleges were fun to create and offered me a bit of relaxation during this very stressful period of the last two weeks as the hand in date for this project grows nearer and nearer. For all of the collages, I wanted to play around with a lot of varying ideas so I didn't actually stick anything down until I had a few final ideas so I had the freedom to play about and not regret sticking parts down early.
These are all my initial play around collages I created before I settled on a few of the ideas from them and created them into outcomes and began working into them further. Whilst creating these collages I was working exclusively with previous prints and repurposing them and in the spirit of doing exactly that I even used the bag of old prints as the backing paper for the collages.
Now as you can see above I went very bright, bold and colourful for these collages mostly for the fun, freedom and pure enjoyment of having a little fun with collaging. I really enjoy collaging as a way to relax and have a bit of fun, with cutting, sticking and then working into them.
I really enjoy giving them this neon effect using bright pink and white chalk to act as a fluorescent light and in these pictures, lucky for me it shows this effect off really well. There's nothing much to say about these other than it was fun to come back to collating and having a 'break' from printing. I would definitely recommend this as a way to repurpose old prints that are 'mass' printed and you have more than enough of to cut up and repurse for collages to others a fresh use of them.
Idea Number 4 - Where'd You Go
I had originally planned to have 4 different prints for final outcomes but time restrictions and scheduling have come into play and as I enter the final week and the lead up to hand in I know it's not going to be a possibility.
I thought that 3 weeks was going to be enough time to complete 4 separate prints however this did not factor in that hand in is between 3 - 4 pm on Thursday 10th February meaning I can't be leaving everything to the last minute with print outlooks and reflections, actually creating the print etc. There just wouldn't be enough time to feasibly create 4 prints have all my write ups on the blog completed as well as having a complete portfolio and superimposed images.
I have to admit defeat at also admit that I was very ambitious with my planning and blinded but the I thought I could pull all this print, write up work, photography and superimposing work off within three weeks for four different prints.
However, I can still show the planning, sketches and mock up ideas for the print.
Plan/Mock Up
This is were I first started building the mock up and I didn't add any other imagery or writing except the base to see how effective it would be on it's own but it's not very. So this were the orginal sketch comes into play where's much more detail of what to include, like writing, art, excersing etc.
This print has a lot more going on is much more effective at 'talking' about how to or what to do as an outlet for your grief. I really like this print it's a simple and easy way to communicate to your audience and give them advice in a way through the print.
Leaflet Research/Superimposing On Leaflets
Placing my prints in different situations and where they could be placed - I could see the prints in more formal situations but also for some reason pasted onto a brick wall. There are many different ways to superimpose your work, mainly photoshop is a great way to go and doable however I'm not so sure for making leaflets. Leaflets/flyers are different to a poster pasted onto a brick wall so I hope to find an alternative way to superimpose for leaflets that works.
NHS Leaflet Layout/Research
When looking at NHS self guides I could find online a lot of them are very informational, colourful, vivid and bright to some degree and are very simple in format. Title/Header, text perhaps some illustrations depending on the leaflets you pick and that's all there is at a base level.
Of course, I don't necessarily have anything informational to add to a leaflet, it could just be a leaflet of my prints and have them sized and positioned correctly. A lot of the NHS leaflets are folded, either tri-folded or a Z-fold most often - so maybe I could do something similar don't that account of superimposing my prints onto a leaflet.
Creating Mock Ups
As most people know the internet can be a very handy place and lucky for me I found a way to superimpose my work into a leaflet layout without hassle. Thank you Vistaprint Studio - they're a print service that you can use online to print your leaflets, flyers, business cards etc and they allow you to preview what they would look like in real life and therefore allow me an easy way to superimpose my work onto leaflets. So using mock ups I created from my final prints I placed them into leaflets and once I have all my final prints and proper pictures taken of them I can superimpose them onto leaflets.
Final Print Outcome 2
This is the most personal outcome and piece of artwork I've ever made and it's very explicit with what I'm exposing about myself. I took my post about my personal experiences with grief as a teenager and made it into a print.
I orginally intended to use a different technique with printing because I wanted all the words to readable to the audience but it didn't go to plan but there will be more on that and it's soloution in problem solving section.
Plan/Mock Up
The mock up was fairly simple to through together I had an idea of how I wanted to portray the idea from a sketch - I just needed to make it a reality. I use a filter, dot layer on the backing looming figure, which gives a graphic look to the figure using the dots, which is also reminiscent of the pop art style. There are three layers to the print the backing vibrant to highlight the figure again taking inspiration from Shepard Fairey, then a black layer of the figure. As the third/fourth layer(s) white text on the the figure and black text surrounding anything on the plain white of the print card.
Problem Solving
For this particular print, I did spend a decent amount of time problem solving how to get the text to be read clearly no matter what part of the print was on. I had a few different approaches to the idea and of course, the first idea did not go to plan but it was an important learning step - it was also not using common sense when I couldn't figure out what was wrong.
So the original plan was to paint ink straight onto where I needed it on my screens stencil and pull medium down over it for it to pass through the screen. I did the white alone and the black in alone - the idea was to pull the white first to get the bulk of the writing down and do the outer text in black afterwards. But this didn't work for many reasons, one because too much ink was bleeding through when the black in was pulled through, causing smudging and unreadable text. The second problem was because all the text that I needed to be black was on the outer part of the print it caused some of the black ink to drag over the white and render that text useless. So that was the problem. I attempted a few more times using the same technique with less and less ink each time to see if that was the issue but I just couldn't get it to work.
So it was time for plan B, which I did have to stand and I think about how I wanted to achieve and put it off. So I quickly recreated some fresh prints ready to have the text placed onto them and began attempt 2. This second idea realized entirely on making sure the registration was completely accurate - now why didn't I use acetate to print text on top and match up, well I didn't have time to clean the acetate I'd been using. So registration had to be done very carefully and I had to make sure each time it was probably alinged. I started by doing the black layer of text first and the white so it could be read by an audience either way. It did take a few tries to get it write with alignment and registration but I got there.
Once I finally got a clean print to come through where I could read the writing I was overwhelmed with happiness - I'd finally managed to get it right. Once I realised what I accomplished I did indeed hold it above my head like a trophy in the middle of the print workshop - lucky for me it was fairly empty and I was surrounded by peers that I used to my sometimes over the top reactions.
Reflection
This is honestly the rawest and most vulnerable piece of artwork I've created that really exposed a lot of feelings, emotions and pain I have hidden from myself and others for many years. The idea of the piece is to show an outlet of grief and also to have a representation of grief the figure looming in the background is grief itself, showing how it looms over you and is always a presence in your life. The piece also allows for others to read my own account of grief how I dealt with it and maybe see that they are going through something similar where they haven't processed yet or have been avoiding it unknowingly. I was really pleased with this piece I think the most out of any because it's such a thoughtful and expressive piece for me.
1 to 1 - Actions
First Final Print & It's Development
This is my first final outcome print as it's been mentioned in the next three weeks plan that I have to start working on final outcomes earlier and to make sure they're ready in time for the deadline. This is because screen print is a lengthy process and takes a while to even get to printing so I have to be as on top with my prints as possible over the next few weeks.
These are the final concept mock ups and how they developed, I did want to have colour within the print and make sure I wasn't leaving white space, which has been a discussed issue with my prints. I really wanted to create a scene with this print and create a print that had a lot more going on layer wise but not just creating layers for the sake of layers.
The red outline was inspired by Shepard Fairey's prints where he has heavily contrasted images for stencils but instead I wanted to have this vibrant red outer highlight. The reason for red is because it's a colour not only connected to my first print work of cassette tapes but also because a vibrant red compliments the darkness of all the other colours really well and makes them stand out.
The purpose of having the text on the shoe works really well not only for space and where the text could go but also for the significance of the text. The text reads 'Move Foward With Your Grief' and having someone actually moving forward in the print, it all connects and works really well to have the writing and the imagery directly connect.
The print is all real imagery I took to fit for this specific print and used some of the same imagery for other prints, which I think worked really well and is something you'll see more of soon.
Problem Solving On The Go
I like to think I some what clever enough to call myself savvy because I do have my moments when I do help myself - as you can see I have labelled the section above 'problem solving on the go' and for good reason because these were thought up during an afternoon of me running around like a headless chicken to keep on schedule.
This was my way of being able to use a larger squeegee for the layer of the backing highlight as well as text - the reason for this was because there is no in between size squeegee that was just big enough for the text I had to either use a squeegee too large or just too small. I did it with both but I decided on working with the larger squeegee just to see if it would make a difference, it did but it would drag ink onto another part of the screen were my printing paper was still under.
So I did some quick thinking using some paper and taper I layered it over where I needed to keep the ink away and ta-da a solution has stopped disaster from striking.
Reject Pile
Obviously, not everything can always go to plan and I did come across many issues. The print below I attempted to salvage from a large ink dosage and my attempt failed miserably I did in the end just go over with another layer but it did take away time that is already limited.
Final Outcome 1 & Reflection
Of course, this is the first of my final outcome prints and I'm really happy how I've seen my ideas and prints develop over the course of this project. I love the perspective you see this print from because it's so surreal and unconvenetial and works really well for creating space for text and as an important object. I've included a lot of myself in the imagery of my work of my prints that I have planned and that's because not only is this project aimed at teens like me who have gone through and experienced grief but also for myself. The project has unintentionally worked as a way to express my grief to have an outlet for it, I've written in-depth about my experiences with grief, I've used a lot of my own experiences to fuel the imagery used in my final outcomes.
I really love the motif I have begun to use within these final outcome prints that use a vibrant to highlight something inspired from Shepard Fairey heavily constructed pictures he uses for stencils. I really loved the way it worked to highlight and make the shape pop out against its background. Also, the background itself is something I have fallen in love with making use of the white space to create a scene for the print, it looks like their walking through a forest that is bare of its leaves, a cold atmosphere, which works with the lack of colours.
Overall, I am proud of myself for seeing where my work began and seeing what it has become, that has meaning and substance and research behind it. I can see and I know everything that came before all my final outcomes and I'm really proud of myself, of course I've had my ups and downs within the project but it's all amounted to this point were I'm looking back and I'm proud of the work I've created.
[inseet better clearer final outcome picture here]
The statistic(s) here are much closer to the target audience I'm focusing on and the statistics themselves are upsetting for so many reasons even just at a glance. Children and teens shouldn't have to experience such loss and sadness so young and early in life but unfortunately it's a reality we live in. A reality where in the UK in 2015, 23,600 parents died - that's averaging a parent dying every 22 minutes. A reality where every day, every hour some is losing a parent, someone who is meant to be by your side your whole life but to lose someone so young, that early in life it's a saddeningly real fact of life that these things happen.
In one of the statistics, it reads that "78% of 11 to 16 year olds [have said] they have been bereaved of a close relative or friend". That is a figure that is ridiculously children and teens to have such an experience. I know I must but it's sound like a broken record at this point but it's honestly startling that there are such high figures for children and teen bereavement.
Me being so surprised does show that I don't know how wildly high these numbers are and again I don't think everyone else does either.
Grief is different as well as an individual experience for everyone and some people have a much more complex and difficult relationship with grief than most.
For some grief can be prolonged for various reasons - it can because by avoiding your grief and having it rear it's head years later causing and more difficult situation with someones grief. Or the grief may be prolonged because someone cannot move past their grief, it's affected them so profoundly they can't move forward. Yes, you don't ever really stop grieving but you do move forward with your grief and learn to live and cope with it at your own pace. Of course, there are many more reasons someone's grief can be prolonged but these are a few scenario.
Another way to look and analyse this statistic is that everyone at some point in their life will experiences grief and loss - so that's 10 - 20% of the total population that are suffering from complex and or prolonged grief. When I look at it this way that's actually a far higher statistical likelyhood that someone I know is suffering with prolonged or complicated grieving. This issue is more common than I or anyone really realises and I don't think it's something that is clearly recognised enough when it should be.
3 Week Plan
I created a three week plan for the final three weeks of the project to make sure I have everything planned out in order to make sure I have enough time to create all my final outcomes, which I have decided will be prints.
I have to plan ahead in order to be able to make good use of my time and have everything ready for deadline day so planning ahead should hopefully be able to help me keep on track and know where I'm at.
