My sweet little girl is already a month old. Its been the most life changing and crazy month of my life and she has spent it proving that, although she is tiny, she is strong. They really aren't kidding when they say time will fly by. P.s. she posed on her own <3

“I just had a daughter who was born 6 weeks early and weighed 2lbs 14oz at birth. I had already planned on naming her Tessa because your Tessa is such a strong woman and is a character I aspire for her to be like that. Thank you so much! I wanted to tell you that my godsons were born exactly the same amount of time early. The first time I saw them was in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and they looked small enough to fit into my pockets. That was two years ago. Now they’re running around and, as you can see in the video, memorizing the words to Let It Go.

And they can dance. Sort of.

Much of this is due to the fantastic child-raising of my best friend, their mom, and it sounds like you will be a similarly great mom. I hope that Shadowhunters the world over can take a moment to think of small Tessa and hope she comes home soon.

I just wanted to let cassandraclare and everyone who has thought of my little Tessa that she got to come home yesterday!!!

THE TUBE IS GONE!

She had a full day of oral feedings, and if all goes well, her feeding tube will be pulled out at midnight. If she doesn't need the tube back in, continues to grow, and has no dips in oxygen or heart rate, we could be going home Wednesday or Thursday!!! Please continue to pray for her to grow and learn at her own pace, and for me to be patient with her so that she can. As eager as I am to have her home, this time is vital to her development.

Tess had another great couple good days! She's up to 4lbs 4.4oz and has done really well eating! She had a tiny bit through the feeding tube last night, but if she goes through the night tonight without it there's a high possibility the tube will come out tomorrow. Dr's and nurses are hopeful we will get to go home within the week :)

Tess is up another ounce to 4lbs 2oz! Continuing to improve on feedings!

Just a preview of the photo session I got to have done with Tess yesterday through Capturing Hopes Photography. They offer free photography for kids at Riley and babies in the NICU and work as documentation of their time in recovery and working their way home. Scott Newsome was a real pleasure to work with and I love the way these turned out! I can't wait to see the rest :)

Tess had another huge weight gain today and now weighs 4lbs 1oz!!!! She's continuing to take higher and higher percentages from the bottle and once we get a few days of solid bottle feeding we get to go home! She also passed her hearing screening yesterday with flying colors, so praise God that we don't have that to worry about! Can't wait to bring the little munchkin home!

Little miss Tessa had another great day of eating and an even better day of growing! She gained another 3 oz and is so close to hitting the 4 lb mark!

Yesterday Tess gained another 20 grams and moved completely into her big girl crib! Through the course of today she has taken 4 whole bottles and has continued to maintain her own body temperature really well!!!!! Huuuuge answer to prayer!!!! If her feedings continue to improve, she may have the feeding tube removed next week!
