before you are even a thought in your parents head , your father works harder than anyone to found and create his empire : elite edits . this company is more the love of his life than your mother could ever be but they go on to have you and all six of your siblings . you come near the end , the next to last and the only girl amongst a sea of brothers who are all celebrated , their worthiness never questioned when it comes to being business minded where as the expectation of you is lesser ... just a pretty little head who doesn't need to lift a finger . it is meant to be a dream but for you it is a nightmare . growing up then you begin to notice the double standard and your fierce feminism begins but it seems that your mother does not understand this . early in your life she becomes an unnamed obstacle , an enemy .

your mother struggles with addiction throughout her entire life , you and your siblings have visitation but remain with your father in your childhood home . there is no animosity or hatred between your parents , your mother a kept woman for life despite being your father remarrying a year later to a woman who you grow to respect more . you can't forgive your mother every time she relapses but you still love her , a step mother never taking her place but aligning more with your views . she encourages you to go to parsons while your mother simply asks why wasting your time and then you become sad because you realise she doesn't even see herself as capable - how horrifying this thought is to you . you vow that you will prove yourself for all the time she never could and you enrol , working harder than any of your brothers for the same level of entitlement and respect . your brothers are nice boys but they are inferior to your intelligence in your eyes , more easily distracted .
you graduate but your father still doesn't measure you as a contender to take over the family business . he begins to test your brothers , pitting them against one another to see who will come out on top . he says that the world is about survival of the fittest and they need to show their business mind and abilities , left in charge of the business with him becoming the silent partner until he decides who deserves to be ceo . from old to young , the crisis begins , each one of them incapable in their own special way ... they have their own views for their life ... their own interests to pay attention to . even the ones that are invested in fashion are more interested in gains than any fiscal or business responsibilities . each time you are the one who will step in to save the day , fix the problems , show what you are made of . you have been waiting your entire life to put your family to shame and your father has no choice but to eventually accept you are right . in the competition , you are the victor and you are not silent about it . your brother grants you position as a ceo but burdens you with having some of your brothers as business relations officers and overseers . they couldn't oversee getting dressed in the morning ( in your opinion ) , never mind you .
