Water bender
I decided to become a water bender. An attempt to explain:
I have always been drawn to water. How it cleanses the body and spirit. By drinking it hot or cold. By bathing or showering with it. By simply observing it. By swimming in it for exercise or fun.
Ever since I have watched the last airbender I had discussions with my little brother to which tribe we would belong. I consider myself most definitely a water bender and he thinks of himself as an airbender. The movement of any type of bending is inspired by the different style of Asian defense and fighting techniques.
3. I have been struggling long to find a way to feel more balanced. To feel more at peace. To calm my nervous system. To feel less stuck. I bought a tarot deck the other day. This deck is based on a Swedish mythical world. Instead of swords and such it is based, like The Last Airbender, on the four elements earth, air water and fire. The first question I asked: what is the next step to feel more balanced. I got the advice to rely on my inner elder of water and queen of water. And now I intend to do so.
4. bending water to me is bending the water inside of myself. Envision my feelings as a type of water. Is it calm? Is it flowing? Is it wild? Is it clear? Is it hot or cold? How can I flow around rigid people or opinions outside or inside myself? How can I bend the water in me?
This inside has been the most exciting one I have had in many years. One that I can take with me for years to come.
