where blood-drenched Tyranids lurk in ambush, where bones remember stories, and brushstrokes carry emotion. Each post is a quiet window into another world—part war journal, part art gallery, part campfire tale. There’s no schedule, only offerings: models painted with care, stories told when they’re ready, relics dusted off and set gently on the shelf to be admired. my name is Matt and I'll be your host, and it is truly wonderful to meet you all. I'll be posting my art here as I finish pieces, or I find something that sparks my interest and passion to paint! I'm always inspired by the world around me and look forward to hearing folks opinions on my works. I'm going to try out Ko-fi for now, so if anyone would like to support the page I'll post my Ko-fi here for anyone that wants to help me stay in supply of paints and models. no pressure at all if you can't, I'm just trying to get some help from the community is all. https://ko-fi.com/tinyrelicsandtalltales
I was very lucky to get to do this very fun character design! A smart electrical engineer commissioned me to design old school / vintage rubber hose characters that are based off electrical engineering concepts and ideas. They let me cook in several ways while guiding the aesthetic, outfits, and concepts of the characters which was a really fun and cool experience for me
I took a kinda pause from miniatures to paint this! I'm in a Humblewood campaign and despite having precisely 0 experience with painting things other than miniatures I painted this. It's my character Duncan, a Talpo Dirtsnout(flavored as the Star-nosed) and that's basically all! I'm very excited to get to play again, always love telling silly stories with folks. Enjoy!
My Lash Prime! Fun little guy, the base didn't end up exactly as I wanted but I am happy with the scheme overall. I'm still working on how I want the bases to be aside from trying to get a digestive pool area feel to it from where the Nids first slammed into the planet. I can't remember if I decided on a Hive Fleet name, don't think I did but I'm working on it! I'll be back soon with more things.
And as always, Fuck Trump, Free Palestine, Black Lives Matter, and Trans rights are human rights. Have the day you deserve everyone!
Well, I finished a thing! The highlight of gold is......not perfect but close, in person it looks a lot better but in the box it just comes off as oversaturation. I am happy with all the results though, I don't have a hive fleet name since my Hive Fleet Oroboros project fell out, so when I have one I'll throw it out! If you have a suggestion I'm all ears, they all seem to follow some giant monster thing from legend so maybe if you know a good one let me know!
I'd say "we're back" but we're not really. I'm still working through things and trying to get back into a good state of mind, but in the meantime I finished this Cephalyx! It's the warcaster from the Dark Operations Hive Mind Cadre, I love the faction. I can definitely see where I can improve but I absolutely love these models. I was a pressganger back for about 3 years before the program shut down and I loved the game for so long, Privateer Press was a great company to see grow and Warmahordes was such a great intro for wargames for people and it was so affordable. I think under Steamforged Games the product looks even better, the lines crisper, details are better, but I have no idea why they kept the slotted base.
it's that time of the year again, so i'm not gonna sugarcoat it, i'm currently buried with work and got hit with a lot of debt at once, too much to be able to get out without help. as such i'll be opening two more commission slots and another one for reserve.
i am in a very delicate economic position, and i have to take care of my parents who aren't really able to work anymore. and considering our income my family front is... tense to say ther least. if you wish to give us a hand i have set up a kofi goal where you can donate.
i will also be doing some commission live painting streams along the week to help raise money for this goal, i'll appreciate every little bit you can do to chip in, specially in such a precarious situation as we have right now. you can catch my stream right here.

hello ! been looking at your chaos knights, and am absoluetly enraptured with your quad-legged armiger, would you be able to share what you used for the legs ?
Of course! The legs came from the Onager Dunecrawler, the waist bit matches perfectly with the legs for a good kind of "artillery" or like an aggressive forward posture. Best of luck! Oh! And the feet overhang just a touch but not enough to really affect anything
Finished these guys last night, very happy with them. I'm about to head out to dinner with my partner though, so I ain't got much to say to all of you except Happy Valentine's day y'all. However much a Hallmark holiday it may be it's still a fun time.
Still no stories, sorry to the people who enjoyed them. I'll get back around to it soon, I'm trying to work through this depressed slump I've been in. It's hard to find the energy or motivation to paint when it feels like nothing is stable at the moment. But I'm working on things, so thank you all for sticking with me this far.
