“I’m off tomorrow. Just me and you, babe.” His head continued to nuzzle her. His hips buckled up to make sure they were as close as humanly possible. “We can do whatever you want. Anything. And as loud.” 

    Skylar couldn’t help but laugh at his words, hands moving up to cup Lawson’s face as she moved in close, pressing her lips to his briefly as he pressed himself to her. “ That sounds.. Great… ” she grinned, pressing her forehead to his. “ It’s been far too long, love… I wish had days like this more often… ”

He soaked in the moment between them. He took it all in. For a moment, that strong exterior would fall. His more sensitive and loving side taking forefront. The scales always attempted to hide this side. The clingy. The affection. All of it. But something about her forced him to bring it out more often. “I wish I can stay here forever with you...” His words trailed off, pecking her nose softly.

       “It’s been rough, not gonna lie.” Lawson rubbed the back of his head, ruffling his hair. His hand still rubbed her side lovingly, fingers tracing beneath to graze her flesh. His teeth playfully sunk into her skin, “I am back now. That’s all that matters.”

    A gasp was let out as Skylar relaxed in his grasp, holding him close to her as she straddled his waist. “ True… ” she muttered, a quiet chuckle following. “ Do you have to work tomorrow, or do we finally get a day for just us..? I can’t remember when you said you were working… ”

    “ I missed you too, ” came the murmur from the girl, eyes closing softly as she smiled, arms wrapping back around him in response to the actions. She took a moment to stay like that, before sitting up in his lap, a momentary scowl crossing her features. “ Where have you been, though? You were meant to be back a few hours ago… ”

          “Oh~. Someone is very happy to see me.” His chin nuzzled into the crook of her neck, his smirk pressing along her shoulders. A soft peck placed upon them as the scales’ arms wrapped around her waist. “I’ve missed you.” He muttered.

    Skylar chuckled once more, reaching up to push a strand of hair behind her ear as she grinned back at him. Interesting- Definitely interesting. “ Well in that case- maybe you should show me exactly what it means to be magical? I’d love to find out. ”

    A small nod followed- Great, perhaps finally there was someone who she could actually compete with. “ Sure- I’d gladly show you. Whenever we’re both free, it sounds like it could be rather fun. ”

        Emerald optics peered down towards the small female, his arms comfortably crossed along his chest. Lawson was getting too competitive for his own good. It would surely end badly for her if she underestimated his skill. “Again, magician never reveals their secrets.”

        Both free? Good thing Lawson’s classes were very few and teachers let him leave early for the hell of it. He was very lucky in these cases. However, even if classes were hectic, he’d make room for her. “Yeah. Sounds like a plan. I’ll go easy on you.”

    Skylar laughed, raising an eyebrow at his confidence- For all she knew it could be the beers, but then, perhaps it was just his nature. “ Cocky, aren’t you? ” she grinned, glancing around. “ But sure- being ‘magical’ is pretty interesting. I would love to know exactly what that means sometime, though. ”

    Honestly she didn’t care if that sounded odd- This was fun, she thought to herself, Definitely more interesting than what she had been doing beforehand. “ Let’s see… I could probably beat every person in this room at darts, if that counts. ”

      “Cocky? Nah, just truthful.” His smirk extends from ear to ear. His tongue playfully sticking out to response of his gigantic ego. “Magical means magical. I can show you what that means exactly, but a magician never reveals their secrets~.”

      “At darts?” Emerald optics glanced around the room, looking for a dart set-up, but there was nothing in sight. “You gotta show me those skills some time. Because I got some pretty damn good aim. So you must be a genius at it.”

    Finally, someone else who didn’t know many here- Someone she could actually talk to for more than two seconds without them seeing a friend and wandering off. It was about time, considering she had been getting a little lonely, ironic considering how many people were around. Taking another sip from her cup as their hands met, she found herself laughing.

    Already, he was amusing her. But considering that so far, he was easy enough to talk to, perhaps his words weren’t too far off. “ I think everyone here is a little bit drunk- Myself included- ” she added on, shrugging and gesturing to the others. “ Hm. . prove it to me– If you’re so interesting, tell me about yourself. What makes you interesting? ”

      A surprising turn of events. Her little smirk caught him off guard, but it was not unwanted once seeing it. Now he had to prove to the other student how “interesting” he was. Many things which were off the table from speaking about, due to a privacy issue the tall man had. 

      “Depends on what you find interesting, Sky. Many people say that I’m magical. Although I’m not sure what that means. Could mean many.” He was resisting the urge to flirt, “But I’m interesting just because I fuckin’ say I am,” A laugh, “Anything interesting about you?”

    Continuing to look up to the other, Skylar raised an eyebrow at his words and chuckled softly, nodding in agreement. “ Nor do I. Actually you’re lucky if I know maybe three others- The one who invited me, and two others from class. And honestly… I don’t really want to know many of them. ” It seemed that he had similar thoughts, at least.

    A hand extended out to shake his if he complied, ignoring those trying to weave around them as she watched him. “ Well- This is as good a time as any right? I’m Skylar- Great to meet you. ”

       God, her smile. Usually he had never seen one so captivating. It could also be the alcohol getting to his head. Because he had never seen someone so beautiful. Although his “bros” would be like ‘what about that one chick you hooked up with? the model?’ This was different. A good different. Again, could be the couple beers he had chugged down speaking.

      A wide smile in response to her own, calloused hands gently shaking hers. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Sky. I’m Lawson. And I might be slightly intoxicated right now, but I’m probably more interesting than anyone at this party.” He was speaking slightly louder, trying to let her hear over the noisy chit-chat from others.

    Despite the crowded room, the music blaring and mess absolutely everywhere, the brunette found herself not quite willing to leave. It was certainly a jovial atmosphere- probably partially due to the fact that it was certain that the punch had alcohol in it, along with the other stuff available. A grin firm on her face, and a cup of the liquid in her hand, looking up to the nearest person as she took another sip.

    “ This is one hell of a party, right? Busier than I expected, at least. ”

      Despite his appearance, the “adult” did not like crowded parties. A simple one where him and his close friends could get hammered were the best. Not being surrounded by strangers with questioning morals and horniness to match. But a certain brunette did catch his eye. She started some small talk, and maybe it was a perfect moment to find a sane person there.

      “Tch, I guess so. I don’t even know ninety-eight percent of this people. But I would love to get to know you.” His lips let the sip of beer right on through as he made sure to not break eye contact.
