I kinda wanna take this small ask as a chance to give a general update about how things have been going regarding that and also to give a general idea of where I'm at right now since so many people have been asking about this (no shade to anybody for asking though!! I understand that you guys are all excited about it and are hoping that I haven't like,, abandoned it or something) So, being transparent:
I currently don't know when it may come out.
That being said, it is absolutely still in my head and something that I intend to finish. However, a lot of other (frankly more important) things have come up in the mean time that keep prolonging the progress and release of the animatic.
Currently, these main obstacles are:
School, and more specifically my thesis film - the past few semesters have been really intense for me and I am currently entering the pre-production for my senior capstone short film, which is required for me to graduate. This will probably be something I am going to be nonstop working on for the entirety of this year and into early/mid next year.
Internship stuff - I am currently doing an internship at an indie animation studio for college credit, and though I am. wildly excited about being able to actually animate on a 'for realsies real' production, it is also a lot of work on top of also being unpaid. I am working with official deadlines that I can't miss lest the animation pipeline get jacked up.
Commissions - Unfortunately these first two priorities have also led to my commissions timelines getting really backed up, so I also need to work asap to get those back on track and get people their comms. As a result of other upcoming work (such as midterms and finals), I am also considering closing my comms soon due to not wanting work to pile up even further. (as stated when I previously closed my comms a month or so ago, anybody who has already sent in a request before closing will have their comm fufilled even after I officially close the form, so don't worry if I haven't gotten to you yet)
Ultimately I'm hoping I will find time to work on the animatic once summer comes, but as things stand I am just currently trying to figure things out as I go, so I can't make any promises unfortunately.
I am very grateful for everybody's patience concerning the animatic, but it unfortunately is not able to be very high on my list of priorities right now even though it is something I really want to work on and get out. Please trust that this is absolutely something I still want to do and is still in my mind even when I am working on all my other stuff!!
