okay so i just finished the bastard son & the devil himself and i know it’s based on a book i haven’t read so uh. gabriel is definitely in like his mid-to-late twenties right? and since half the plot revolves around nathan turning seventeen… like. is no one gonna acknowledge that or?

The way Chris likes cooking and is real proud of it and wants everyone to eat up! Keep them well fed! It’s extremely sweet. I feel like he is terrified of anyone going without there’s definitely some sorta fear/trauma there it fits his character really well. 

Anyways HC that he keeps little mental notes of what people are eating and if they’re getting enough I feel like it’s a good thing to look out for if someone’s going through something so subtly visiting a depressed crewmate and coaxing them into having a meal, checking in on known overworkers by just leaving a reheatable homecooked meal by their station [or convincing them hes got ‘work’ for them which is much more chill than they’re expecting], working hard with M’Benga to help get assistance for crewmates with eating disorders and making sure not to mention calorie counts! I just think he cares an unbelievable amount and it may be some trauma from childhood but I think this is a mostly healthy way for him to try and control it when he isn’t being all self sacrificing [but most captains are anyway]

Every episode Christopher Pike get’s a new outfit and it’s so funny to me I don’t think he’d like replicating clothes either I just think his quarters wardrobe is fucking massive

I’ve been fighting with writer’s block lately, but have recently become obsessed with The Quarry, so I thought it’d be a fun challenge to try and translate the game’s prologue from a visual piece of media to a written one. It was so much more fun than I expected!
