“Shut up.” She laughed, playfully rolling her eyes at him. “You’re right- Not tonight.” She mumbled, looking at him and when he kissed her she smiled, wrapping her arms around him to kiss him back.
He broked the kiss gently and smiled at her. “So I think it may be best if we just stick to kissing for the moment. You know, until we talk.”
“Me neither, girls are kinda annoying.” Spinelli said, but Stacey seemed less irritating than other girls. When his eyes widened she let out a laugh. “I mean it’s probably not a great idea until we talk about this- Us. But at the same time I’m pretty drunk and really wanna kiss you.”
“Tell me about it.” he teased. “Yea, we should talk about this, but not tonight, because we’re both too drunk.” He chuckled looking at her. Honestly, what was one more dumb move. He moved in and kissed her softly.

Spinelli walked back over to the couch and sat down, leaning on her knees. “I didn’t either- It just kinda happened.” She said with a shrug. “I mean- I don’t even know if I really am into girls or if it was just circumstances.” She really was confused, she’d loved TJ for longer than she could remember but Stacey was cool and she didn’t want to hurt anyone. “So…. Wanna make out?” She said, a joking tone to her voice.
“Huh. Honestly I can’t picture you being able to stand dating a girl” He mused with a small shrug. His eyes widened at her question. “Okay I honestly have no idea which answer to that is the right one.” He said afraid of starting another fight

I guess I just thought that was how bestfriends were-” Spinelli said with a small shrug, running a hand through her hair. “Oh never.” She said with a slight laugh, maybe things could be kind of normal for them… “Uh- I don’t know. I kissed her when I’d been drinking and I was mad at you and- She’s cool. But she’s not you.”
“Honestly, me too. He said with a shrug as well. He was glad she seemed to have calmed down but he was being careful not to say anything else dumb. “Great...” He shook his head, a small smile on his face. “Honestly I didn’t even know you were into girls.”

I have for years.” Spinelli said shaking her head, she wiped the tears from her eyes and she couldn’t help but laugh slightly, somehow they’d gone from fighting to telling each other that they loved each other, not that it really fixed anything. “I mean- You’ve fucked Ashley A so you can’t really say anything.”
“I honestly had no idea.” He said. He was honestly puzzled by this entire argument and half of him just wanted to run. “I’m never going to hear the end of that am I?” He sighed. “So um, like do you like this girl?”

Spinelli was still angry but when he said that he loved her she looked up at him and she swallowed hard. “I-” She didn’t really know what to say, neither of them wanted this, they didn’t want the mess. “I’m pretty sure I love you too… Actually no, I know I do.” She admitted it, mostly because she was drunk and they were fighting, which she didn’t like doing. “Well- I kissed someone. A girl actually, because I was confused and- I don’t know.”
He looked at her, not really sure what to make of any of this. “You do?” He asked tilting his head. Tj always sucked with feelings, which is why he never did relationships. This drama was exactly what he wanted to avoid. At the mention of her kissing someone else he could feel a pit of jealousy in his stomach. “Oh, um. Well then.”

“Fuck off.” She practically spat the words at him. “You don’t think it completely fucking terrified me, I admitted that I’d never slept with anyone and then it happened and things got weird between us so I said to forget it even though I can’t. I haven’t been able to sleep in my bed because of how much better it was to sleep with you in it.” She was crying now, and she hated it, emotions were weak. “Well if you’re sleeping with girls like her then clearly you don’t like me.”
His stomach hurt. He hated everything about this. If nothing else he just wished he could turn back time and stop his dumb self from sleeping with her. This is exactly what he didn’t want, anything to be complicated. “Don’t like you? Fuck Spinelli, I’m pretty sure I love you. I’ve been in love with you since elementary school. I haven’t been with anyone let alone kissed anyone else since that night. You’re all thats been on my mind. Everything that happened with Ashley, thats all before that night. I’ve slept with other people Spinelli, thats just life.
Spinelli shook her head. “Right I’m supposed to believe that you feel something for me.” She turned and looked at him. “If you can’t stand her then why the fuck would you sleep with her.” She remembered how she turned to Ashley A for help with her confusion. “That fucking bitch.” She muttered. “I actually went to her for advice because I was confused about you. I put on fucking heels and makeup tonight because I wanted you to look at me and- Fuck I’m an idiot.”
“Spinelli.....” He said before not knowing what else to say. He couldn’t stand seeing her this upset. He hated even more that it was all his fault. “It’s just something that happens when we see eachother at parties, I don’t know. Being with you was different. It actually scared me because we were friends, because I actually care about you.” He shook his head. He was actually surprised Ashley A hadn’t told Spinelli about them. “You know you don’t have to do any of that to impress me. I like you for you.”

Spinelli pushed herself off the couch, she didn’t want to be near him. “Right- Partying and drinking, or you know smoking like when we hooked up.” She shook her head. “I thought it might have actually meant something, but nope, I was just another fucking Ashley to cross of the list.” Her voice was shaky and she was leaning on her kitchen counter, willing herself not to cry.
He froze. She made a valid point. But hooking up with Spinelli wasn’t the same as when he hooked up with Ashley A. After the night with spinelli he couldn’t stop thinking about it. It meant something. Sleep with Ashley A there was never a second thought about it, it was just for fun. “Spinelli thats not true. I actually feel some kind of way for you and god knows I can’t stand Ashley A most of the time”

Spinelli felt like she’d been slapped in the face, and she moved as far away from him as she could. “What.” She didn’t really know what else to say but she felt tears threatening to fall.
“I mean, its nothing. We um, we haven’t done anything in a while...” He was at a loss and wasn’t really sure what to say. Why did he always have to open his mouth. “\it’s only when we’ve been partying and drinking. It’s not a big deal.”
“I can tell you’re lying, we’ve been friends for way too long.” She said, pulling away from him slightly.
“Well um.” Tj’s face was bright red. “Um well you know, when theres parties and stuff I usually end up going home with Ashley A.” He said softly.

When he brought up the Ashley’s she swallowed. “Right…” She tilted her head. “What do you mean dragged you away?”
“Oh, um.” He just realized what he had said in his drunken state. “Its um nothing. Wouldve made me take shots or something is all I meant.”

“I was trying something out, it sucked.” She said with a laugh, leaning against him slightly.
“Well the Ashley squad would have been real proud of you wearing heels.” He teased nudging her. “I was surprised not to see Ashley A at the party. Though if she was there she probably would have dragged me away way before I could make sure you could get home safely”

Spinelli glanced behind her and grinned when she saw him looking. She changed into a pair of shorts and a tshirt and sat on the couch with him. “There no more heels and no more bra.”
“I got to say, I’m actually surprised you wore heels. It’s almost as rare as you wearing a dress." He said putting his arm around her.
Once they got to her apartment she hopped off his back, she unlocked her door and stepped in, shutting the door behind him. “Okay- I need different clothes on my body right now.” She said, dropping her heels by the front door and starting to pull her pants off as she walked towards her room.
Tj walked in and headed for the couch. He couldn’t help but get a glance of her as she began to undress on the way to her room.

“You’re the bestest.” She teased, pressing a soft kiss to his shoulder.
“Oh, dont I know it.” he laughed walking up too her apartment.

Spinelli held him tightly to not fall, her other hand gripping her shoes. “This is pretty fun actually.” She laughed.
“Thats cause I’m doing all the work.” He laughed trying hard not to stumble.
