Sitting cross-legged with a cross-hatched, tipsy mind, Hyori watched Seongmin from her place on the bed, weighting her spins by anchoring herself on the bed. Glitter lined her jaw and liquid-gold tequila lingered in her stomach, remnants of a night out that could not be denied or forgotten. She swayed in place, tiny concentric circles that seemed to make concentration – even as one was concentrating on said concentration – that much harder. “Seongmin-ssi,” She (not-)whispered from her bedroom, leaning forward as he started to make their food order over the phone. “Gimbap.” She mouthed in reiteration, gesturing with her hands to further stress the need for gimbap.
She’d already said it twice since he picked up the phone, but who was counting. Not Hyori.
Seongmin had learned a lot from experience over the years. One, the doors to the recording studio were pull and not push so stop trying to push them open, you idiot. Two, polyphasic sleeping only sufficed for a few days tops and if practiced for too long, will result in you fainting in the hall with a gigantic lump on your head for the next week. And three, a night out with Hyori is best enjoyed when somewhat sober because the hangover that will result if you drink with her will make you want to never live again. Because of several experiences where his head was in the toilet more than his studies, Seongmin only had a couple drinks stirring in his stomach as he held his cellphone in the palm of his hand.
Keeping an eye on his clearly drunk, famous friend as he ordered, he raised a finger to his lips as Hyori mouthed foods at him from her bed. “Shh,” he whispered before speaking again into the phone. “Ye, two orders of jajangmyeon and one order of gimbap please. And to the normal location. Thank you.” Closing his cell, he quickly stuck out his tongue at the girl– far too familiar for what a typical sunbae and hoobae relationship should be. “Ya, Hyori-sunbae, I know our order by heart by now. Trust me.” And if she could see the grin growing on his lips, Seongmin would likely chalk it up to her drunk imaginatio rather than anything else.
