Next wip I'm throwing out unfinished to lower pressure! Narinder's arrival. He was wiped out by colors and sounds and smells and left with 0 will to fight for days. No talking, dazed and mellow. Hiding in the dark a lot, coming out at night to sit and watch the sunsets. He even let the Lamb care for him. Lambie didn't even get to be mad at him.

I really wanted to make this one polished, I'm very much not happy with it. Oh well. I wanted this bit of lore out anyway.

Oh by the way there's no meds or mushrooms involved like some people think from the red eyes picture. It's overwhelm and dissociation. He gets better with a bit of time, but the shock broke the rage out of him and he ends up pretty chill about the situation overall. Lambie has a hard time believing it. He's sassy and moody but relaxed most of the time. The power of not being chained, seeing colors again and eating snacks.

It's my second save, I made it way back cause I needed a follower randomizer for my God Swap AU. Since technically Narinder should be the lamb, he's white. The traits are hilarious, Maeve is a sturdy dumb gremlin. I was gonna make them jealous and then the trait was added too, it's destiny.

A bit of lore!

Leshy had the coward trait when I got him. He kept running away everytime I would approach him. So I decided to retcon the few happy drawings of him I made for this AU. Leshy is indoctrinated in the cult because Narinder decides that if he can, he's gonna keep the bishops to cook them for information about where are the dead cat. He wants to bring them back. Sweet little Maeve immediately lose their shit at the sight of their sibling and materialize a phantom scythe- turns out they can do that- and it takes Narinder and all the disciples to stop them from slicing their brother. They're enraged beyond reason. And they only stopped because Meran used a chain to parry and block the scythe, the sound of clinking metal breaks the ex God from rage to terror.

While Narinder handles them, the others turn to leshy who's left there on the floor, full size and four arms out ready to dodge again, shaking. That's too much to process at once, and the shock turns his fur and and leaves completely white before he shrinks down back to his normal size and collapses.

So for a long time after his arrival, Leshy avoids all interactions and digs as much as he can. He barely tolerates people around him and is reactive and aggressive. He does not trust Narinder who promises he just want answers and won't be violent. Meran gets a pass, barely. He's the first one to get even a bit of physical with him after gaining his trust. Which Leshy really needs, the touch starvation is severe.

Meran knew when they used their bladed chains that Maeve would lose it, but they had to stop them. As expected, the friendship is destroyed. And it's not gonna get better now that they're tasked to follow the hated sibling instead. But orders are orders and Meran is taking life as it comes.

This game save is determined to give me all the angsty shit I didn't put in my regular AU.

It's end of Juuuune time's up and I don't have the energy to draw more characters sowwy. It would be a bit forced anyway, because most of my cotl characters are in the void relative to their bodies, and not especially defined in terms of preferences or identities. I just take the dolls and make them kiss when I want to. It's a fantasy death cult with no big taboos or rules, so a character's preferences and genre isn't that impactful since everyone is free to do whatever. Doesn't that sounds nice? Except the part where you might be caught and sold or eaten by Helob. Or sacrficed forever to open a door. Or eaten by the other cult members. Or frozen to death. But no discrimination! Yay! I gave tied on pants to Leshy because I love slut pants and it's fun to imagine Morgan going "Ok I need to design something practical for his big ass that unties but doesn't rip when he doubles in size. That's gonna show some leaves but he's already an exhibitionist anyway." And then regretting it because he made him hotter.

After a year of this au's story running circles in my head, I'm finally starting this shit. This will not have a consistent schedule, but it wont only be one page per update. What weapons can we give Leshy then?

Leshy can easily perceive people based on sound, smell and vibrations in the ground. He's built like a brick house and has sharp teeth in a maw bigger than your head when he opens it fully. He's got some of his god powers left, he can send rows and rows of sharp pikes from the ground, burrows horribly fast and pop out of the ground under you to tear out your legs before you can move.

LESHY DOESN'T NEED A WEAPON STOP TRYING TO GIVE HIM WEAPONS

Ok but no, actually it's the reverse! People forget he's disabled. He moves around very easily, since he knows the cult grounds by heart, until he bumps into a still object he can't see. He easily finds and handle food, but will struggle finding objects that don't smell anything special. He always put things in the same place in his house. He will throw things at people with way too much accuracy, and avoid things thrown at him because he can hear them. But he has to be careful not to knock unseen things off tables. He cannot read.

Everytime he does something like that they go "Oh yeah I forgot he's blind I'm dumb."

To end on a sad note, Leshy's N1 sore point with his lack of sight is his inability to see Morgan, or any of the beautiful things he's so passionate about making. He can only rely on people's descriptions about the cat being fucking hot, and on Morgan telling him what he's making and what it looks like.
