I’m curious what you all would say.

If we did another Dungeons & Dragons themed Magic set, which slot would you expect t it to take?

Only wrinkle I see in making it UB is that it might be slighly confusing for the commercial partners to either sell it at a lower pricepoint than other UB sets or to add the extra price usually justified as a royalty cost.

Adding generic mana doesn't make a break a non-break? Is 3-4 mana dark ritual really a break? : p

A break is talking about color pie appropriateness, not power level. Black is allowed a little access to producing mana, but it has to have cost in additional to just mana.

So is abzan devotee a break? Both it and the proposed card would colorwash a mana into black mana.
