You can interpret them any way - noun/verb, literal/metaphorical, fluff/angst/horror, anything. Interpret them as loosely or tangentially as you like, however inspiration takes you! got, uh, got one of those awls from the book repair suppliers, up in the library? if it can punch through books it can punch through, uh… well it - it should do the trick. no reason to try and make it too complicated. (mag 155 - ‘cost of living’)

here’s my first proper attempt at digital art, again as part of the tma hiatus flash fanwork challenge (see @3thecaptain‘s blog for more details)!

this week’s prompts were ‘break’ and ‘connection’ which immediately reminded me of the end of mag 155 😥

Week 3 of the TMA Hiatus Flash Fanwork Challenge

Another barely related one! This is based off a piece of Orpheus and Eurydice art because Orpheus was given a test to get his wife back and failed. So here's Jon pulling Martin from the underworld instead of the lonely (not gonna lie I had fun with this!)

TMA Hiatus Flash Fanwork Week 2 - Calling

I drew Jon calling Martin while he was under siege by Jane Prentiss.

Some random thoughts I had while drawing this:

- The green implies that Jon had an iPhone and Martin did not as of 2016, which means nothing, its just technically what’s going on because I used my own text conversation with my sister as a reference.

- I have no idea what version of iOS my phone has at the moment, but I highly doubt it’s the one from 2016, so any inaccuracies in this are irrelevant.

- When writing Martin’s voicemail, I was thinking that given his lied-on-CV situation his voicemail would probably be very “professional sounding”, and also polite, because it’s Martin. So it’s just a polite, standard sounding voicemail?

A note: If it wasn’t obvious, Jon’s pointer finger is hidden behind the phone in the bottom two images.
