AHHHHHH DUDE IMA BE SO FR THE TMNT HYPERFIXATION JUST FUCKING. IMPLODED OVERNIGHT. IDK WHAT HAPPENED THE SONIC HYPERFIXATION KILLED IT IN COLD BLOOD. Literally like 2 and a half years of TMNT Special interest and then Sonic shanks it 😨 I think it was bc Rise was what got me into TMNT and was the main official thing I liked and there just hasn’t been anything for that in a while. I like MM too but not nearly as much as I liked Rise. It’ll probably come back when the second season of the MM show drops or the second movie comes out or maybe even when my Sonic hyperfixation chills out a little (which I don’t see happening for a WHILE it hit me hard and fast this time just like when my TMNT hyperfixation started) but for now it’s just. Hella dead. I do have a little comic I did a while back though crossing over @glitter-alienz ‘s Omniverse and Ret!!!

I RLLY DO HOPE THAT THE LOVE FOR TMNT RETURNS bc like now that I’ve lost interest in Ret it feels like other people have gotten more interested in it and that really sucks bc this project has been like my life for two years :( I’ll try to draw the sillies every now and then at least but the fic is defo on hiatus for a while

Ret Donnie lore drop for y’all

The reason his lenses are purple is bc he colours them in with sharpie :3 it doesn’t rlly affect his work bc if he needs to see the colours of stuff usually what he’s working with is close enough that he can see it without his glasses on, it just gives him a hella headache (he prefers working with his glasses off though because if u have glasses u know ur sight is actually sharper when u have them off lmao)

Ppl think he’s weird for literally seeing everything as purple but he thinks it’s neat and it helps him when he’s overstimulated and with stuff that could overstimulate him (for example when Mikey has his lights flashing different colours, they all just look like slightly different shades of purple to him so it isn’t the worst even if it still hurts his head)

It can be inconvenient sometimes and eventually when he’s older he’ll have different pairs of glasses, ones that are permanently purple and ones that are just normal, but since he can’t really have more than one pair of glasses right now this is his solution. Purple sharpie.

Mikey always tricks Donnie into saying or doing stupid shit and Raph is the one who has to tell him that Mikey is being an ass 😭😭 Or Donnie will make the mistake of saying whatever Mikey told him to say in front of Leo and then gets lectured for an hour- the most gullible guy ever (there’s a reason he eventually gets forever trust issues)

This is definitely on tamer side compared to what Mikey would usually get him to say lmfao (Mikey finds out about a new swear word or inappropriate phrase and IMMEDIATELY becomes evil/silly)

Mikey is just like “Dude Raph will totally fall for this joke u gotta try it he’s gonna laugh so hard I promise” and Donnie blindly trusted him

Redrew the creatures with their post S1 fits (for now the plan is that they get them in the second half of S2 but that might be subject to change bc that was planned over a year ago and a lot of Ret has changed since then)

I gen can’t wait to draw them in these fits more often, especially Mikey’s- I originally planned to have him change his fit every now and again but honestly his one fits him so well he might just have this one forever, same with Raph- Leo’s will probably change after S5 (too many bad memories, this is literally their original outfit plus shoes after all) and Donnie’s may change eventually, I know at the very least he’ll start letting Mikey put stickers on the back of his battle shell post epilogue but whether much else will change idk. Btw if ur wondering how Donnie’s bo stays attached to his battle shell, it’s just magnets! He figured it was easiest, when he’s able to make it more compact he’ll do something else as this set-up leaves him somewhat vulnerable.
