I'm absolutely going to ramble about it to you guys

Turns out that after getting so excited about getting back to Animal Jam (still finishing that comm by the way !! I do not forget !!), the local market has completely crashed due to some hacker screwing things up. Inflation and whatnot...

I had started a brand new account early this year (between February to April; can't remember exactly), and in order to grind up in that capitalistic "here's your foot into BUSINESS, kids!" animal game, you can either trade items for better items (there's a whole wiki on what they're worth, and some tiers of items are used as currency) OR you sell items for diamonds then buy items with said diamonds.

I personally adore the trading. I don't have the patience to put items on my shop and stand around the lobby saying "shop my den!" for 3 hours straight; and there's beauty in trading with people, negotiating and all...

anyway. Early this year I was able to grind all the way up to two yellow long spiked collars (in money terms, I'd call them "50$s") which I COULD have used to trade up for a black long (a "100$"). Instead I sold one for the listed diamond price hoping to buy underlisted den betas ("1$"s) so I could trade back up to the yellow with a margin of profit, buuuut I found a little yard sale with the most beautiful pink items ever which I immediately bought. I was broke but happy at the end of it...

My process was:

• grind at the Claw for plushies

• trade plushies for RIMs (cents)

• trade RIMs for Clothing Betas (also cents, but better)

• trade 6-10 clothing betas for one den beta (1$)

• trade 15-18 den betas for a long spiked collar (back then that would be worth a green or a yellow!)

• keep the long spiked collar and trade that up for a better spike, OR

• trade DOWN the spike so I can redo the process with a bit of den beta profit ...

It was fun. I genuinely enjoyed the process.

Then my membership ended and I lost access to the beautiful items. So I lost motivation to play, and left for a while...

I came back today. and the market is absolutely fucking RIDICULOUS.

Apparently den betas are worth NOTHING now. Something that was the basis of my process (1$-5$) is now worth about 0.05$ more or less. 15-19 den betas could once get me a decent long spiked collar, now it gets me a bad long spiked WRISTBAND. A FUCKING WRISTBAND. DUDE

Wristbands used to be FIVES. They were pocket change !!!! WHY ARE DEN BETAS WORTH SO LITTLE NOW

I don't know what to do anymore. My only idea is to wait it out and try again in a few months when the market settles down again... but I'm just so sad, because I spent sapphires for this month of membership and I probably won't be able to use it because of the market crash

Okay but what about the rest of Mane Six and Spike in "Princess of Monsters" AU? What was their thought process on stuff what Twiligh pulled?

The whole premise of Princess of Monsters is that Twilight only started her "road of evil" after her friends passed away, so the Mane Five (and by extension, some familiar characters like Shining Armor, Starlight, Sunburst and even Trixie are gone as well).

The "issue" with Spike is that he actually does show up alive in G5 (I still need to WATCH THAT tbh), so I need to find a way to link up G4 Dragons to G5 Dragons, and I'm still brainstorming ideas for it tbh hahahe.

I do like the idea of G5 dragonfire being magic, so I'm going to say that for this particular AU, dragons could ALWAYS do magic with their fire, even G4 ones. Ponies just didn't know that because dragons were understudied.

Overall I'd say Spike was alright, if skeptical, of the path Twilight was choosing for herself. When she started studying dark magic, he was skeptical, but didn't speak out because it's not like she was planning to USE it for evil, only for research, and besides... It was the first thing that made her excited after everypony's passing... so he let it slide. And then the Villain Redemption Project came and the same thing happened, then she and Tirek became a thing and the same thing happened...

Things only got particularly bad during Opaline's rising... Again, I'm still brainstorming. Haha.

I cannot measure in WORDS how much they love each other. Oh my god dude HEHAHHDHEHEH

Assuming one is all evil and one is all good when they met, they touched eachother and balanced everything out. Twilight had been giving giving giving ever since she got her dang wings, while Tirek had been taking taking taking ever since he learned how to use his magic. Now Twilight gets to be selfish sometimes for the sake of her sanity and Tirek gets to be selfless for the sake of his very few loved ones. And it makes me so happy

Twilight's morality was already "waning" by the time she met Tirek, but very very slightly. She was indeed looking into dark magic, but purely for scientific research purposes and never with actual intent to use it for her own gain. Tirek on the other hoof was also on the brink of accepting friendship -- this IS post S9 Tirek after all so he went through the Frenemies episode. So they taught and learned from each other and it feels so nice dude AUAUDHEHHEH

Lonely fools holding hands, that's the ship. It makes me so happy. And it feels a bit different than Fluttercord to me because Fluttershy influenced Discord more than the other way around; you never see Fluttershy messing with people for giggles but you do see Discord making an effort to be kind to others. That kinda thing. But Twirek? Now you get to see Twilight returning to her sassy, sarcastic nerdy roots of s1 but amped up to 10000x. Hard "no"s, the occasional "buck off", purposely doing things she wants despite it making others angry ... and you get to see Tirek playing a supportive role rather than the bullheaded "I need control all the time" guy he used to be.

RAAAHGHHH they make me SO . HAPPY .

They just match eachother so well and it's GREAT dude it's GREAT. Both of them can be temperamental and both of them can be level headed, so they balance eachother out (whenever one is being too emotional, the other can compensate by being more logical. See Twilight's anxieties/"Twilighting" vs Tirek's straight forward solutions to anything; or Tirek's explosive temper vs Twilight's extremely high emotional intelligence)

I kill for these guys. I love them so much. And they're SO ride or die, they would rather follow their partner onto hell than not; if Twilight antagonizes all of Equestria, Tirek will ask IN PRIVATE: "is this what you really want?" and if she says "yes" then he's the first to offer her the Total Annihilation spells he'd been cooking in secret; if she says "no" he'll be the one pulling the silly emotional regulation books she gave him so they can figure out what she really wants to do about it (Also some "royal etiquette" and some "how to apologize to like 27 noble houses you've insulted" books HAHDHSH). And god FORBID you say ONE bad thing about one of them while the other is within earshot. That's unironically how Neighsay the 17th was petrified for an evening ("Hmpf." "Twilight. He's going to snitch to his family and they're going to rally up against you." "Hmpf." "Twilight...")

I love when characters get really old so they lose all sense of morality and sense, especially works with your twilight cus she’s learned chaos and dark magic so of course she’s gonna be just a bit screwed in the head (just a bit)
