My final final! For my favorite scene in The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe :)
"Spare Oom".
Sweet Nostalgia.
Evil’s Offer
I just have been thinking recently on how the White Witch in the beginning told Edmund that she’d make him a prince.
I just find it so ironic, because he was always destined to be king.
And I just chewed on that thought for a while, and I realized that it’s what evil always does: It knows our destiny and our potential, and it does everything in its power to sell us the cheaper version. It knows if we step into our true potential at full capacity, its stronghold of power crumbles.
I hope I never make the mistake of choosing the knock-off version of my own destiny. I guess the best way to know is to never accept the version that puts you in a position under evil’s feet.
If only evil was always so recognizable as the White Witch.
I NEVER CAUGHT THAT BEFORE WOW LEWIS WAS SMART
it’s like the serpent’s temptation of Eve, “you will be like God.” Adam and Eve were already like God, created in His image.
I will always reblog this.
Endless list of my favourite characters: LUCY PEVENSIE ♔ THE VALIANT

Christmas Is
I. Christmas is warm: warmer than she can express. She looks up at the tree with wide eyes, the shrinking blue capturing every glint of light, and then her dad lifts her up on his shoulders and she places the star on top with careful hands. Her mother rocks Lucy in the corner. Peter chases Edmund down the hall. Susan sits safely on her father’s shoulders and thinks Christmas is… Christmas is… Christmas is… until she stops believing she will ever find the words to describe it.
II. Christmas is coming, and Susan finds her parents wrapping presents in their bedroom, and she doesn’t even mind the illusion being shattered. She’s getting older now, after all. Surely at some point she must stop believing in fairytales, and, besides, she rather likes being in on a grown-up secret. Still, she never tells anyone – not even Peter – the truth about what she saw, and when Lucy opens her new doll from Father Christmas, Susan gives her parents a knowing smile. She likes it better this way. Someday, she thinks, when she’s a little bit older, she’ll save up her own money to buy presents, too.
III. Christmas is magic: the likes of which she has long since stopped believing in. It’s the chill of snow and sting of wind on bright red cheeks, and it’s the sight of her brother trudging onward in his long fur coat, and it’s the jingle of bells, and the glint of silver. And then it’s a promise: a promise that Edmund will come back to them: a promise that they will know what to fight for: a promise that even she can be brave. Winter melts away into primrose spring, but Susan carries Christmas gently over her shoulder, and the weight of the bow promises to bend to her numb, uncalloused fingers the way the evergreen branches bend under the snow.

In honour of C. S. Lewis’s birthday: a few of my favourite of his books, as interpreted by the “Dream by WOMBO” AI art app. Though it didn’t take much from me, I felt this was a fun way to view his works, and I quite like the results. ❤️
In order: The Chronicles of Narnia, Till We Have Faces, The Four Loves, Surprised By Joy, and lastly, two different interpretations of Perelandra, because the colours in each evoked different things within me and I couldn’t choose a favourite!
Happy Birthday, Jack. You never cease to inspire me.

“In a way, Jack is one of [our] friends, because Jack would write this material that he’s written so carefully and so beautifully that it is there for everyone to read. And I think that's– in a sense, that is Jack being our friend.”

The Chronicles of Narnia in colours: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
I’ve wasted time and sacrificed Telling my friends who I am Afraid of judgement, hearing God And saying something different again
(insp.)
sometimes i think about narnia and i vibrate out of my skin like...
you walk into a world you cannot understand, frozen and dying, and it is you who thaws it. you who kills the witch, you who breaks the stone table, you who slays the wolf. it is you who is crowned and it is you who wails for two worlds when the wardrobe doors shut behind you.
your skin never sits quite right and your teeth are too dull. there are wars in your bones and decades in your eyes before you can reach the telephone on the wall.
you are king. you are queen. they won't let you read the newspapers at breakfast.
it calls you back from beyond a train and from within paint. begs with bloody palms and salt-crusted cheeks. takes from you all that you can give - and sends you back.
you watch your sister fade.
you are a child twice and an adult once. and when you stand in your home again, with crushed bones and the smell of coal still in your nose, you watch them sneer at your sister.
your sister is the sun above you. she is, beautiful and stone-cast, alive in a world you could never stomach. she smiles, still, and stretches her skin over human bones.
she is no longer a friend of narnia. do you tell them it is her who has to bury you all and the stars that are falling from the skies in shards?
