I am convinced Tobin is little spoon

The thing that people don’t understand about fútbol and why it’s so important to support the right clubs:
Fútbol and politics are largely interwind.
Why? Money and power.
Is it right? Of course not.
They’re taking the the beautiful game of fútbol and tainting it for their own political agenda. It’s easy to disregard and say that you watch it just for the sports but the reality of it is, you can’t separate the politics from the sports.
So please people, be extremely mindful of who you’re supporting.
If you’re for women, if you’re for equality, if you’re for basic human rights, you will support the people supporting the same thing.
Thank you for listening to my TedTalks. I’m open to discussion but I have no tolerance for hate what so ever. If you’re coming from a place of anger or hate and not of openness and curiosity, then my ask box is closed to you.
Barcelona, August 2023. As a result of the events that took place this morning and the perplexity of the speech made by the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Mr. Luis Manuel Rubiales Béjar, the players of the senior national team, recent world champions, in support of Jennifer Hermoso, wish to express their firm and resounding condemnation of conduct that has violated the dignity of women.
In view of the statements made by the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Jennifer Hermoso wishes to categorically deny that she consented to the kiss that was given to her by Mr. Luis Manuel Rubio at the World Cup Final. "I want to clarify that, as was seen in the images, at no time did I consent to the kiss he gave me and, of course, in no case did I seek to lift up the president. I do not tolerate my word being called into question and much less that they invent words that I did not say".
From our union we want to stress that no woman should have to answer back to the blunt images that everyone has seen and, of course, they should not be involved in unacceptable attitudes.
The players of the Spanish national football team, current world champions, expect strong responses from the public authorities so that actions such as those contained in this document do not go unpunished.
We would like to end this statement by calling for real structural changes that will help the national team to continue to grow, in order to be able to pass on this great success to future generations. It fills us with sadness that such an unacceptable act is tarnishing the greatest sporting success of Spanish women's football.
After everything that happened during the Women's World Cup medal ceremony, we would like to state that all of the players who have signed this letter will not return to a call-up to the national team if the current management continues.
Signed:
dear FIFA, kindly suck my 🍑
…. Fcking egg head, looking ass
It should not have taken the entire women’s football community voicing the disgust and wrong doing of the RFEF and the public actions of that bald fool for his resignation.
The Jamaican girls should not have had to create a GoFundMe page to get to Australia to compete.
The Canadian team should not have had to go public about their lack of pay.
It should not have taken the early departure of the USWNT to get Vlatko out.
The Zambian team should not have had to voice their issues of sexual abuse and misconduct of their coach.
So many other issues out there from so many other countries that should not even be in existence.
It should not take the players announcing to the world that there are issues for them to be taken seriously. Players should be able to feel comfortable enough to speak with their federations about problems and know that changes will be made and that they will not be singled out or become a victim of backlash. Treat female footballers with the same professionalism and respect you treat the males.
holy shit. so apparently rubiales is stepping down… I am so pleasantly surprised
my moms wanted to say good morning
I don't really understand the Olympics qualification....does Spain make it automatically for winning the WC? And what are the chances of the US making it, like 100% or is there a chance they wouldn't?
Olympic qualifying is determined by mini tournaments within the different continental confederations. 11 countries can qualify, the host nation (France) is qualified automatically to make 12 teams in total.
The US already qualified last year by winning the Concacaf championship.
Spain will have to do really well in the nations league (sept 23 - feb 24). They will have to make the final of the nations league finals to qualify unless France makes the final in which case a 3rd place in the nations league finals would also be enough. Only the winners of their group (during the group stage) go through to the nations league finals.
Spain is in a group with Sweden, Italy and Switserland so it will be a tough one but certainly not impossible. If they win the group stage they will have to beat at least one really tough European country to make the final or win the 3rd place match (if France makes the final).
such a good interview and i love megan rapinoe so much

little bit late on this but just watched the last episode of the re-cap show and it is by far my favorite
I can’t describe to you guys how much inspiration and joy I’ve had watching these episodes this past month
I love the insight we get behind the sports. From the ugly politics of it to like the absolute power houses that are paving the way for women.
I am so excited for more content to come
And I would just like to give a big thank you to tobin and Christen for being a voice for the people
much love 🧡
Tobin saying the most unexpected part of filming the recap show is how funny Christen is 😆😍
props to England bro… they were fierce
extremely happy for Spain. 100% deserving of that win. such tactical plays, and the movement between their midfield and forwards was beautiful.
bit nervous on how the media will spin the whole story with spains coach… I’m very much hoping it can be an opening to the larger narrative.
