Heaven

In the New Testament the word Heaven is used many times, and the terms "the Kingdom of Heaven" or "the Kingdom of God" are used very often. Also are mentioned "the Kingdom of the Son" or "the Kingdom of Christ and God" or "the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ", which are all the same Kingdom.

The verses below contain only the word "heaven" and not "the Kingdom of God" or "the Kingdom of Heaven" etc.

Matt 5:12 [WEB] Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matt 5:16 Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Matt 5:18 For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter† or one tiny pen stroke‡ shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished.

Matt 5:34 but I tell you, don’t swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God;

Matt 5:45 that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

Matt 5:48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Matt 6:1 “Be careful that you don’t do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

Matt 6:9 Pray like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy.

Matt 6:10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Matt 6:32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

Matt 18:10 See that you don’t despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.

Luke 6:23 Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets.

Luke 10:18 He said to them, “I saw Satan having fallen like lightning from heaven.

Luke 10:20 Nevertheless, don’t rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

Luke 11:2 He said to them, “When you pray, say, ‘Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

Luke 11:13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

Luke 12:33 Sell that which you have, and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which don’t grow old, a treasure in the heavens that doesn’t fail, where no thief approaches, neither moth destroys.

Luke 15:7 I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.

Luke 16:17 But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one tiny stroke of a pen in the law to fall.

Luke 18:22 The beggar died, and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died, and was buried.

Luke 19:38 saying, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!”

Luke 20:4 the baptism of John, was it from heaven, or from men?”

Luke 22:43 An angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.

Luke 24:51 While he blessed them, he withdrew from them, and was carried up into heaven.

John 3:13 No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.

John 3:31 He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

John 6:38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

Acts 7:49 ‘heaven is my throne, and the earth a footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build me?’ says the Lord. ‘Or what is the place of my rest?

Acts 7:55, 56 55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up steadfastly into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, 56 and said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

1Cor 15:47-49 47 The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As is the one made of dust, such are those who are also made of dust; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let’s also bear the image of the heavenly.

2 Cor 12:2 I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I don’t know, or whether out of the body, I don’t know; God knows), such a one caught up into the third heaven.

Gal 1:8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any “good news” other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.

Eph 1:20 which he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places

Eph 4:10 He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.

Eph 6:9 You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.

Phil 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth,

Phil 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

Col 1:5 because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the Good News

Col 4:1 Masters, give to your servants that which is just and equal, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.

1Thess 1:10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead: Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.

Rev 3:12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will go out from there no more. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God, and my own new name.

Rev 4:1 After these things I looked and saw a door opened in heaven, and the first voice that I heard, like a trumpet speaking with me, was one saying, “Come up here, and I will show you the things which must happen after this.”

Rev 4:2 Immediately I was in the Spirit. Behold, there was a throne set in heaven, and one sitting on the throne

Rev 8:1 When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

Rev 11:12 I heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here!” They went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies saw them.

Rev 11:13 In that day there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Rev 11:15 The seventh angel sounded, and great voices in heaven followed, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ. He will reign forever and ever!”

Rev 11:19 God’s temple that is in heaven was opened, and the ark of the Lord’s covenant was seen in his temple. Lightnings, sounds, thunders, an earthquake, and great hail followed.

Rev 12:10 I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, the power, and the Kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ has come; for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.

Rev 14:7 He said with a loud voice, “Fear the Lord, and give him glory; for the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and the springs of waters!”

Rev 14:13 I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.”

Rev 14:17 Another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven. He also had a sharp sickle.

Rev 15:5 After these things I looked, and the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.

Rev 16:17 The seventh poured out his bowl into the air. A loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”

Rev 18:4 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, that you have no participation in her sins, and that you don’t receive of her plagues,

Rev 19:1 After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Hallelujah! Salvation, power, and glory belong to our God;

Rev 19:14 The armies which are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in white, pure, fine linen.

Rev 21:2 I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.

Rev 21:3 I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.

Rev 21:10 He carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,

Have faith

Faith is to be convinced that something is true, sometimes when there is no evidence of it.

We have to believe (have faith) that God exists, and that He sent his Son to die on the cross so that our sins can be forgiven. We have to believe the Good News (Gospel) about repentance of sins and faith in the Lord Jesus and forgiveness of past sins, so that we can be part of the Kingdom of Heaven, and be saved from the kingdom of darkness and Hell. We have to have the faith and be convinced that these things are true. The Holy Spirit will also testify that these things are true.

If we believe that these things are true, we need to react on the Good News and repent of our sins, and ask forgiveness, so that the blood of Jesus can cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We need to stop sinning, turn to God and serve and obey and love Him, and love people.

But have faith, believe, and trust in God. He hears every word of your prayers. He cares for you and looks after you. Have faith and believe it. Spend time with Him by reading the Bible. God is there when you read the Bible. Ask Him to help you understand what you are reading. Follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit in your heart and mind.

These things are real and true. Have faith in these words and in the words in the Bible, and in the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Remember that God loves you, that your imperfections are covered by the blood of Jesus, that God knows everything about you - the attitudes of your heart, the thoughts of your mind, your words, your deeds. But He loves you and will guide you to grow in the faith and the knowledge of Him, until you become a mature Christian. But remember that He loves you.

Don't go away from his love by sinning. Do your best to live a righteous and holy life. In this way you will remain in his love. Humble yourself before God - everything we have from God is by grace, through the cross, and the blood of Jesus, because we are imperfect, falling short of the glory of God, even after repentance. May the peace of God be with you. If Satan deceives you and you sin, you can have forgiveness by the blood of Jesus and your relationship with God will be restored. But don't sin often, or you may lose your place in the Kingdom of God.

Have faith in these things.

God is with you

God is with us if we serve and obey Him as the only God, and spend time with Him, and put our trust in Him.

Gen 26:3 [WEB] Live in this land, and I will be with you, and will bless you. For I will give to you, and to your offspring, all these lands, and I will establish the oath which I swore to Abraham your father.

Gen 26:24 Yahweh appeared to him the same night, and said, “I am the God of Abraham your father. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you, and will bless you, and multiply your offspring for my servant Abraham’s sake.”

Gen 28:15 Behold, I am with you, and will keep you, wherever you go, and will bring you again into this land. For I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoken of to you.”

Gen 31:3 Yahweh said to Jacob, “Return to the land of your fathers, and to your relatives, and I will be with you.”

Gen 48:21 Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am dying, but God will be with you, and bring you again to the land of your fathers.

Exod 3:12 He said, “Certainly I will be with you. This will be the token to you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

Num 14:9 Only don’t rebel against Yahweh, neither fear the people of the land; for they are bread for us. Their defense is removed from over them, and Yahweh is with us. Don’t fear them.”

Deut 20:1 When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses, chariots, and a people more numerous than you, you shall not be afraid of them; for Yahweh your God is with you, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.

Deut 31:8 Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.”

Deut 31:23 He commissioned Joshua the son of Nun, and said, “Be strong and courageous; for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore to them. I will be with you.”

Josh 1:5 No man will be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not fail you nor forsake you.

Josh 1:8, 9 8 This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success. 9 Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.”

Josh 3:7 Yahweh said to Joshua, “Today I will begin to magnify you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that as I was with Moses, so I will be with you.

Judg 6:12 Yahweh’s angel appeared to him, and said to him, “Yahweh is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

Judg 6:16 Yahweh said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man.”

1Sam 10:7 Let it be, when these signs have come to you, that you do what is appropriate for the occasion; for God is with you.

1Kgs 11:38 It shall be, if you will listen to all that I command you, and will walk in my ways, and do that which is right in my eyes, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with you, and will build you a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel to you.

2Sam 7:3 Nathan said to the king, “Go, do all that is in your heart; for Yahweh is with you.”

1Chr 17:2 Nathan said to David, “Do all that is in your heart; for God is with you.”

1Chr 28:20 David said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do it. Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed; for Yahweh God, even my God, is with you. He will not fail you, nor forsake you, until all the work for the service of Yahweh’s house is finished.

2Chr 15:2 and he went out to meet Asa, and said to him, “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin! Yahweh is with you, while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.

2Chr 20:17 You will not need to fight this battle. Set yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of Yahweh with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed. Go out against them tomorrow, for Yahweh is with you.’ ”

Ps 46:7 Yahweh of Armies is with us. The God of Jacob is our refuge.

Isa 8:9, 10 9 Make an uproar, you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Listen, all you from far countries: dress for battle, and be shattered! Dress for battle, and be shattered! 10 Take counsel together, and it will be brought to nothing; speak the word, and it will not stand, for God is with us.”

Isa 41:10 Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isa 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you.

Isa 43:5 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west.

Jer 1:8 Don’t be afraid because of them, for I am with you to rescue you,” says Yahweh.

Jer 1:19 They will fight against you, but they will not prevail against you; for I am with you”, says Yahweh, “to rescue you.”

Jer 7:23 but this thing I commanded them, saying, ‘Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. Walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.’

Jer 42:11 Don’t be afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom you are afraid. Don’t be afraid of him,’ says Yahweh: ‘for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.

Jer 46:28 Don’t be afraid, O Jacob my servant,” says Yahweh; “for I am with you; for I will make a full end of all the nations where I have driven you; but I will not make a full end of you, but I will correct you in measure, and will in no way leave you unpunished.”

Ezek 36:26-28 26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes. You will keep my ordinances and do them. 28 You will dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers. You will be my people, and I will be your God.

Amos 5:14 Seek good, and not evil, that you may live; and so Yahweh, the God of Armies, will be with you, as you say.

Hag 1:13 Then Haggai, Yahweh’s messenger, spoke Yahweh’s message to the people, saying, “I am with you,” says Yahweh.

Hag 2:4 Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,’ says Yahweh. ‘Be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,’ says Yahweh, ‘and work, for I am with you,’ says Yahweh of Armies.

Matt 28:19, 20 Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Luke 1:28 Having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, you highly favored one! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women!”

Acts 18:9, 10 9 The Lord said to Paul in the night by a vision, “Don’t be afraid, but speak and don’t be silent; 10 for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city.”

2Cor 13:11 Finally, brothers, rejoice! Be perfected. Be comforted. Be of the same mind. Live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.

Phil 4:9 The things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me: do these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Glory, honor and power

Ps 8:1 [WEB] Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens!

Ps 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.

Ps 21:13 Be exalted, Yahweh, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.

Ps 24:8 Who is the King of glory? Yahweh strong and mighty, Yahweh mighty in battle.

Ps 29:1 Ascribe to Yahweh, you sons of the mighty, ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.

Ps 29:4 Yahweh’s voice is powerful. Yahweh’s voice is full of majesty.

Ps 57:5 Be exalted, God, above the heavens! Let your glory be above all the earth!

Ps 62:7 My salvation and my honor is with God. The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

Ps 62:11 God has spoken once; twice I have heard this, that power belongs to God.

Ps 63:2 So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory.

Ps 66:2 Sing to the glory of his name! Offer glory and praise!

Ps 71:8 My mouth shall be filled with your praise, with your honor all day long.

Ps 72:19 Blessed be his glorious name forever! Let the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and amen.

Ps 90:11 Who knows the power of your anger, your wrath according to the fear that is due to you?

Ps 96:6, 7 6 Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. 7 Ascribe to Yahweh, you families of nations, ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.

Ps 104:1 Bless Yahweh, my soul. Yahweh, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty.

Ps 105:3 Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.

Ps 111:3 His work is honor and majesty. His righteousness endures forever.

Ps 138:5 Yes, they will sing of the ways of Yahweh, for Yahweh’s glory is great!

Ps 145:5 I will meditate on the glorious majesty of your honor, on your wondrous works.

Fit God into your day

To spend time with God and the things of God is truly rewarding. Fit God into your day, even if you have to get up an hour or half an hour earlier. Read the Bible, pray, praise and worship Him, spend time with the things of the Lord every day. You can type out prayers that you want to pray every day and read them during your quiet time with the Lord. Keep God in your mind throughout your day. Listen to the Holy Spirit during your quiet time. It will strengthen your faith for the day and guide you to live a righteous and holy life. You will get a reward in heaven for doing this. We all need to spend time with the Lord, because there is so much in the world that is in opposition to a close relationship with God, and we need the strength we get from spending time with the Lord to counter what is in opposition to our faith. Stay close to your God. There is much in the world to pull you away from God and from a righteous and holy life. Fit God into your day, even if you have to leave some other things you do that are not so necessary.

Don't be too shy

Don't be too shy before God to go to Him and become a Christian. Don't say "I'm not worth it to God". God is gentle with us. Be strong and take hold of the Kingdom of Heaven. It is your life, and it is your life after death, in Heaven or Hell. God will listen to you if you go to Him in prayer. He will forgive your sins, and give you the Holy Spirit to enable you to live the Christian life and to guide you. Ask for forgiveness of your sins by the blood of Jesus, who died on the cross as a sacrifice for the guilt of your sins. Repent of your sins and turn to God to serve Him and obey Him with all your heart and mind. God loves you very much and He will welcome you into his Kingdom of Heaven. God knows you very well. He knows your character and will deal with you accordingly. Ask Him to give you the Holy Spirit. It is out of love that I write this. It is out of love that God will hear your prayer and save you out of the kingdom of darkness and Hell.

Now that you have repented of your sins, read the Bible and pray to God respectfully (like you would talk to a father). Join a Spirit-filled assembly (church) where you can have fellowship with other Christians and where you can receive blessing from the pastor and all that he does. Get some worship and praise music and play it in your house. Now live the pure Christian life and follow the Holy Spirit and what is written in the Bible, so that you may be saved. You are now born again by receiving the Holy Spirit. Keep your relationship with God active from your side of the relationship. Do these things and don't be too shy before God to do them. Don't say "I'm not worth it to God". Many murderers have become Christians. You are worth a lot to God. He knows you and wants you in his Kingdom of Heaven.

Darkness

Jesus came to overcome the kingdom of darkness and to establish the Kingdom of God.

Matt 6:23 But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

Clarification - Yahweh; assembly…

In the World English Bible (WEB) the Name of GOD, "Yahweh" (for the Hebrew consonants YOD HE WAW HE, or YHWH) is used instead of "LORD" or "JEHOVAH" as (wrongly) translated in some other versions of the Bible.

Also, the word "assembly" (for the Greek "ekklesia") is used in the World English Bible instead of the word "church" as in other translations of the Bible.

Blameless in the NT

Being a good person

Being a good person only, won't get you into Heaven. All people fall short of the glory of God and all people are imperfect, so that no one can get to the Father except by the blood of Jesus for forgiveness of their imperfection. Do not be deceived. You have to go through Jesus to get to the Father and to get into the Kingdom of God and into Heaven. You also need the Holy Spirit to enable you to live the Christian life. You have to repent of your unbelief in God and the Lord Jesus Christ. You can pray the following prayer:

Father in Heaven, I come to you in the Name of Jesus. I ask, in your grace and compassion on me, your forgiveness for my sins (or my halfhearted faith, or my unbelief), and I ask that you wash me clean from my sins and the guilt of my sins and unbelief in the blood of Jesus. Make me free from my sins and unbelief. I agree to repent of my sins and my unbelief and to turn to you to serve and obey you as my God and to put my trust in you. I ask that you give me the Holy Spirit to help me and enable me to live the true Christian life, so that I may be saved from the Kingdom of Darkness and Hell, and be received in the Kingdom of Heaven. I believe that you hear this prayer and do for me what I asked. I praise your holy Name because you saved me in the Name of Jesus. I ask that you guide me to a Spirit-filled church where I can have fellowship with other Christians and where I can receive guidance. I thank you that you love me and care for me from now on. Help me when I read and study your Bible, and teach me to praise and worship you, and to pray. Help me and enable me to love you and be devoted to you and be loyal to you with all my heart and mind and strength, and to love people. I thank you, Father. I pray in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
