Like faithful friends, they are his only constant company, though certainly not his only company. He can think of nothing better than to be in their midst ⎯ golden, glowing, silent ⎯ until he rings them and they make what he thinks is the most beautiful sound he’s ever heard. ❛ Oh, not at all! It’s actually quite the WORK-OUT, ❜ he responds, a bright smile on his lips. He gives a small shrug of his shoulders at his question. Indeed, with only the aid of ear plugs to muffle the powerful voices of the bells, it is a miracle his hearing is still in tact. ❛ Well, I um …I do use earplugs. They more or less reduce some of the sound! ❜
