How very right you are, even if a lot or all of it has been my fault. I admit I have been instigating a lot but you know me well enough that I don’t take being judged very well, and in my weakened state - once again, at my own fault - I just seem to be very snippy at everyone. Thanks for having faith in me, but It’s going to take a long time for any of them to come near to forgiving me, and even longer for me to forgive myself, if at all. I wish I still had the drive to keep running it. I honestly don’t think I have it in me anymore and that just makes me hate myself more. I’d feel even more like a failure if I gave it up. It ain’t Ezra if it ain’t dramatic, but he has a right to be this time. I’m surprised he’s being as nice to me as he is.

Well I haven’t been a great anything to anyone in a while, not even a moderately okay or decent. I knew my dad liked you for all the right reasons, you actually know how to say no. You’re stronger than most of us, I can definitely give you credit there. Despite what bullshit I’ve been into, this place really is a good place to be, I think you’ll enjoy it. You still have a long way to go before you're the old Max again I'm sure and it will take the people you've wronged some time to forgive you. But I know if anyone can do it, it's you. You're a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for. Especially with the way you stepped up and ran Bennett Real Estate as well as you have. And I'm sorry to hear about you and Ezra, I spoke with him briefly. Was very upset but he has a flair for the over dramatics.

I don't think it's a trip wasted, you've always been a great friend to me. I wouldn't have touched that shit with a ten foot pole, I worked for your father for years and I've seen too many good people lose everything to drugs. Honestly, I haven't thought about it. I didn't really have a set date of departure. I just wanted to get down here as fast as I could to see if you were okay and how you're holding up.
