Entry 32: I have managed to breed a sentient Quercus robur using the serum I created. It took six tries, however, because the other five tries seemed to have degraded in both mental and physical age. it seems that the successfully bred Oak acts and is treated as a paternal figure to the other five. Testing is still being done as to why this happened.

Oak is great! He’s probably the most experienced in parental stuff. He is a Father of Five, after all. Let’s see if I can remember all of the kids...so...we have Brandon, the emotionless kid, Andy, the energetic kid, Sara, the shy kid (and also the only female), and then there’s Ben and Bill, who always argue with each other. It must be really stressful for Oak, but he’s a professional. Yes, that includes dad jokes.

Entry 37: Using the Chlamydomonas nivalis, I have managed to breed an Ulva lactuca with the same mobility and cognitive thought as the other plants. However, it seems to show signs of aggression at times. The Sea lettuce often falls into bursts of outrage. Studies are still being done as to why this is.

Yeah, to be honest, Lenny is kind of...evil? Or, at least he likes to think he’s evil...he tells me about his “evil schemes” a lot, but when he actually does them, it seems more of a minor inconvenience to the plant receiving it. Oh, and one more thing, don’t call him small, short, or cute. He hates that.

Entry 14: I have created a Helianthus annuus with the same mobility and cognitive thought as the others. This sunflower seems to be incredibly optimistic and is more social than most of the other plants.

Sunny is a great friend! She always tries to cheer the rest of us up and usually does a good job at it. It seems to get her a little stressed, but she says not to worry about it. I’m glad the big man made her!

Entry 47: I have successfully combined the serum with a Salix Babylonica, but it seems to show a very low level of sight. I presume that this is due to the leaves blocking its vision. Testing is still being done to see how this Weeping Willow interacts with the other plants.

Willow can’t see very well because of her haircut, so she constantly bumps into things. I would help, but none of us was given any tools to help with that. I constantly have to guide her around the habitat we’re in. I really hope the big man gives us a way to help with that.

Entry 2: I tested the serum on a sample of Saccharum ravennae, also known as ravenna grass. However, instead of showing mobility and cognitive thought like I hypothesized, the sample instead turned into a puddle of acidic, green sludge. I put it into a small chamber for testing and studies are being done to the serum to find out why this happened. The sludge seems to show an incredibly low amount of mobility. However, that’s mobility nonetheless, which proves that I am on the right track.

That weird puddle scares me. It moves around in it’s tank, bubbling and hissing. I’m not sure if it can think like us, but I sometimes feel like it’s watching me. It sometimes presses up against the glass of it’s tank, which is extra creepy because our habitat is right next to it. I think it’s trying to talk, but I can only hear gurgles. Except...I think I once heard it say...”help me”...

Entry 1: I believe I have created a serum that could give flora advanced mobility, sentience, and cognitive thought. Testing shall commence shortly.

Yup...That’s the serum, all right...every single one of us came about because of that strange, green liquid. It looks kinda weird, but it’s also...mesmerizing...nevermind, it’s just something used to make walking plants like us. I wonder what it’ll be used for next?

Entry 5: I’ve done it. I’ve finally done It. I have successfully created a plant with advanced mobility, sapience, and cognitive thought. I tested my serum on a Cucurbita pepo, and I can finally start testing. This pumpkin, while having sapience and cognitive thought to match a human, seems to have a strangely low IQ. I will conduct more tests to see how I can improve the serum.

Peter’s a really good friend! He can be a bit dimwitted at times, but that’s why I love him! He’s really considerate, even if he does get himself into some sticky situations every so often. I think he should feel honored to be the first of us that the big man created! I certainly see it as impressive!

Entry 33: We have made another plant with cognitive thought, this time an Aegagropila linnaei. However, something seems to be wrong. This Marimo seems to be showing several symptoms of panophobia and anxiety. Studies are undergoing as to why this happened.

I like to think of Marimo as a brother of mine, mostly because we look so similar. He’s a bit of a scaredy-cat, but I still like him. I noticed that the big man really likes giving us two different names: a normal name and a really long, weird name with two parts to it. I’m not sure why he does this, but it’s kinda silly.

Entry 52: We have successfully managed to breed two different plants together. The plants that have been merged are a Cocos nucifera and a Salderia cyatheoides. I’m not sure on a name yet, but as a temporary name, I called it a Cocos igniculus. It seems that it’s legs have stretched to an unnatural length that causes it to lose balance often. My assistant seems to feel bad for it but I reminded her that this is for science and to not get too attached to the plants.

I feel really bad for Cocamau. She really doesn’t like how tall she is, seeing how her life is one big balancing act. I always try to make her feel better, but she has a breakdown every once in a while. I always try to help her keep her balance, but sometimes she falls over. And since she doesn’t have arms, I have to help her up. I don’t think that the big man cares about this, though. I tried to tell him about her condition, but I don’t think he can understand me. In fact, I don’t know if he can understand any of us!

Entry 35: I was worried that the serum got mixed with some other chemicals, causing the Aegagropila linnaei’s panophobia and the Dionaea muscipula’s social anxiety, so I had to do some more experiments. Thankfully, that didn’t seem to be the case. the Chlamydomonas nivalis doesn’t show any of those symptoms. The venus Fly Trap has seemed to take a liking to the Watermelon snow, and my assistant keeps referring to them as friends. Testing is still going on.

Snowy’s a good friend. She’s much more of an extrovert than me and has actually helped me with my shyness. Sure, the man who created us gave her a bit of a strange name, but I still like her. She’s really nice and helpful and...I’m rambling, aren’t I?

Entry 34: We have successfully breeded a Dionaea muscipula with the same mobility and cognitive thought as the other plants. This Venus Fly Trap Seems to be behaving abnormally, showing the same symptoms as somebody with Social Anxiety. This is incredibly similar to what happened with the Aegagropila linnaei’s panophobia. However, my lab assistant seems to think of it as “cute” and even claims to have seen him blush once. Even though that should be scientifically impossible, tests are still being done to see how true this is.

Yeah, Venus is a great friend! He’s a bit of a nervous wreck, but he’s really friendly once you get to know him! He’s always happy to help whenever possible. Plus, he’s really cute when he's shy! I’m still confused on the big man’s name for him, though. What did he call him? Dino Muscular-somthing? I dunno, I’m starting to think that guy’s a little nutty.
