The Highlight for June 4th.

I know that as a parent I put my kids first, I make sacrifices, I work hard, I go to sleep late, I wake earlier; day in, day out.  And many times, many days actually, I do it in an ok mood. 

What I took from this highlight is that none of what I do matters as much as my state of mind. 

If I am happy, fulfilled, balanced... they will see that, and that’s the best gift we can give our kids. Everything flows from there.

I learn a lot from understanding how other cultures and languages conceptualize the meaning of things.

It’s fascinating because it opens my mind, and forces me to look at the world with a wider lense.

We forget how long it takes, how hard it is and how persistent we need to be to reach a level of success.

We simplify success to: “the moment most people hear about it”. But success is a long term event.
