Words really can't express how meaningful this album by London McDaniel is to me. I first encountered it several years ago in a bargain bin at the local Salvation Army. I was first intrigued by the cover, and then by the stellar musicians that guested. My subsequent love for, and fascination with, this album led me to conversations that ended up connecting me with the late Gene McDaniels who would become in a very short period of time one of the greatest musical inspirations I will ever know. I can't thank and credit London enough for the outstanding musicianship and writing on this record. I shared it with my brother and the guys from Miss Fairchild, and they fell in love with it as well. My brother later found another copy of this quite by accident, and gifted it to me. I had just come across both copies when cleaning and organizing my records just the other day. Imagine my surprise when, yesterday, I found yet another copy of this record in another used bin, and in fantastic condition. I've told the story so many times now, in writing, and in person. It fascinates me that this story keeps on changing and growing. Thank you, God, for this wonderful and amazing gift. I am listening…
