Todoroki Shouto has always been the object of admiration of numerous girls, but the only person he’s hopelessly in love with is none other than his childhood best friend, Izuku. Though Izuku ended up being the first to confess on Valentine’s Day… it must be out of pity for Shouto’s sad pining… right?

On his third year at U.A., Izuku experiences his weirdest Valentine’s Day to date.

And this is the last response to the @tododekuvalentine confessions I had! The art it’s in response to is in the notes, be sure to check it out and give saido the love she deserves!

An awkward moment settles, before Izuku seems to come back to reality with an “Ah!” and scrambles to apologise for overreacting and hitting the counter. But, before he can apologise for confessing to Shouto as well, Shouto put a hand up, albeit still glancing away from Izuku. The blush is very prominent on his cheeks, despite somewhat being camouflaged on his scar.

“No… no need to apologise, I was just… surprised, is all,” he says before looking up at Izuku, then glancing away again. Was his blush getting darker? “Um… Can I have my green tea?”

Right. Izuku had to take Shouto’s order, and there was a line starting to form. Sightly disappointed this was Shouto’s only response, he went to prepare Shouto’s green tea. Meanwhile, the heterochromatic boy dug between his things, grabbing a pen and paper, scribbling down something.

When Izuku came back with Shouto’s green tea, he was given the money for the tea, and a paper. Confused, he looked up at Shouto to inquire what was that, but the blushing boy was already out of the door. When Izuku looked at the paper to see what it really was, he unfolded it to see a phone number and a message.

“I like you too. Are you free this friday? Call me.”

I kind of assumed in some parts that Izuku was a barita since Shouto was asking for a green tea in your confession post, so I went along with this flow… I really like shy Shouto, so he was a little bit on the embarrassed and shy side. He also didn’t want to keep Izuku’s time like that when he’s working, so he went for the discreet approach. And they had a great date.

Shouto took a risk to rid himself of his curse, and when he realises what he may be losing if he loses his bargain with the magic spring, he is suddenly unsure of whether this was the right decision. But now it’s too late to go back.

 He gaped slightly, surprised by the letter and bouquet, but received them in his arms before looking up at his long time friend - and more recently, the small crush he didn’t know what to do about.

“R-Really?!” Izuku swallowed thickly, surprised beyond words. Then, looking down from the mismatched eyed, he let his eyes fall down at the letter.

Fumbling a bit with the bouquet in his arm, he adjusted it enough he could open the letter and take the paper from the envelope, reading it intently. Once he finished it, he rose his head to Shouto, who seemed to be fidgeting in place. Maybe he was embarrassed, or anxious about his response? Izuku could emphasize, as he was a blur of strange emotions at this moment, though one did stand out.

Happiness.

Izuku finally snapped out of his daze of surprise and broke into a grin, brightening his whole face up. “Thank you!”, was the first thing he said, followed quickly by a, “I feel the same way, Todoroki-kun!!” He kind of wanted to jump up in happiness - but contained it in favour of watching Shouto take a turn in being surprised. Did he not expect him to return his feelings? Really?

But in turn, that surprise melted into a soft smile, and a blush creeping into his cheeks, which made Izuku think he might have died and gone to heaven, because he was positively seeing an angel. Shouto continued being very adorable when, as he looked at him, he offered his hand to Izuku.

Izuku’d have to be a fool to not take his hand, and so he did, with a grin to rival the sun. “Let’s get something to eat, it’s almost dinner time!”

“Yes, that sounds nice.”

I hope you like my Izu drawing paired with a little drabble! I’m not very good with comics, and I wanted to do a wholesome response so it variated into this. Those boys are so cute and soft!!

I really love the premise of the fic and there were so many ways I could have gone about it that I got quite overzealous. 15 pages may seem long but I actually had to cut it short due to deadlines! I really hope I did your confession justice @crzangel​!
