natsuo attended Yuuei , present in the C - classes all the way through graduation. as a second year he participated in the sports festival as was the norm and was pit against a first year tamaki amajiki. the battle is quick , no more than ten minutes with tamaki emerging victorious. natsu doesnt have great battle strategy or attacking power and was easily overwhelmed by tamakis’ versatile quirk. natsu is sure to give tamaki a brief and sincere congratulations for winning. after all , he has no desire to become a hero.

following the sports festival , the two took more notice of each other in the halls of yuuei. though it does take a bit of time , the two eventually exchange words and grow to become good friends , and even after natsuo graduates he keeps in contact with his good friend.
