A person finds themselves by finding their place, and they find their place by finding appropriate others needing their services and their need to care for them.
Through caring and being cared for, we experience ourselves as a part of nature; we are closest to a person or an idea when we help them grow.
In the sense in which a person can ever be said to be at home in the world, they are at home not through dominating or explaining or appreciating, but through caring (acts of service) and being cared for.
