Oh, wow.
Relationships are so fucking scary to me. No matter how great things are going or how in love you are, your significant other could always just lose feelings for you and be gone. And none of that is in any of your control.
Reblog if you’re
Still waiting for the Downton Abbey film to simultaneously show:
1)young violet in Russia
2)Cora growing up in America
3)cobert meeting and falling in love
4)Mary Edith and Sybil as children
5)Carson on the stage
5)Thomas arriving at Downton
6)Baxter going to prison/ all that stuff with Coyle
7)James and Patrick actually alive {are they actually nice because fanon says they’re little shits?}
8)Edith and Bertie living happily ever after
9)Tom and Sybbie in America
10)Tom and Sybil in Ireland
11)Matthew and Isobel before Downton
12)Sybbie George and marigold as teenagers
13)the three children grown up
14)Downton today- all the descendants opening the house for weddings and stuff
PLUS ALL THE OTHER THINGS THAT WERE MENTIONED BUT NEVER SEEN AND THE THINGS YET TO HAPPEN
Dear Downton fans: Please like or reblog if you’re with me in the minority who actually loves S4, S5 and/or S6 of DA!
I love Sybil and Matthew and am a Mary/Matthew and Tom/Sybil shipper, so believe me when I say that I totally get the pain and disappointment many of us felt when they were killed off. I still get teary even THINKING of those scenes, lol, let alone watching them.
But sometimes I feel nearly alone in also loving so many other characters, ships and aspects of Downton. Much to my own surprise, I came to really appreciate what those later seasons had to offer. S4-S6 are so harshly trashed by some fans—a few of whom admit they never even watched the episodes but just know they hate every single thing about them anyway and insist the show should have ended after S3. I’ll grant that the later seasons weren’t perfect, but nearly were the early ones. Don’t get me wrong: people have a right to dislike whichever seasons, characters etc. they choose. For me, though, the pros of those later seasons still far outweigh the cons. Just a few of the many things I love and in some cases even prefer about the later seasons (in no order!):
1. Baxter and all things Baxley…need I say more?! :) Seriously, I’m so inspired by these characters and so touched by their interactions. I feel so blessed that this ship sailed into my fandom life :)
2. Cora carves out more of an identity outside of being a mother, wife and kickass hostess. About 80% of my favorite Cora moments (and more than half of my favorite Cobert moments!) take place in later seasons.
3. Edith becomes a vastly better and happier person in S6, and her romance with Bertie touches my lame little heart.
4. We get the majority of my favorite Chelsie moments in S4-S6.
5. Thomas Barrow goes through a tremendous amount of interesting change and growth in S5-S6. During the first few seasons, he was a ‘love to hate’ character for me, but by the end I actually loved to love him, and without the last few seasons that never would have been possible.
6. I realize that many disagree (with this and many other of my opinions, which is totally fine!), but I love exuberant, warmhearted Rose and the energy she brings to the show. She, too, shows clear growth from when she was initially introduced.
7. The later seasons give us a closer and absolutely fabulous friendship/alliance between Violet and Isobel.
8. Mrs. Patmore has many of her greatest moments later on, and don’t get me started on how much I adore her friendship-which-is-clearly-about-to-become-more with Mr. Mason.
9. As much as this show sometimes struggles with plotting and pacing, the dialogue is so sharp and memorable and filled with so much wit and insight. A disproportionate amount of my personal favorite conversations and one-liners take place in those later seasons.
10. On a shallow note, the fashion during seasons 5 and 6 is so fabulous that even someone as generally oblivious to style as I am swoons over those dresses :)
I could add even more, but I’ve bored you lovely people long enough :) A few other people out there must share my love for the later seasons of Downton …right?!
we're both high school teachers and our students ship us but little do they know we're already secretly dating Caskett AU. I know this was on castleficpromts, but I just feel you would do this story justice on so many levels with your talents. Hopefully you write, but if you don't I will still love you and your amazeball writing.
Hi Anon! I am so incredibly sorry that it’s taken me so long to write this for you. I hope you’re still out there, and I hope you enjoy it if you are.
Much to Be Thankful For

“Mr. Castle, are youmarried?”
It wasn’t the first time he’d beenasked that, and he had no doubt that it would be the last, but still Rickchuckled.
Miranda and Ben were the last onesout on the last day of classes before Thanksgiving, but he could see theshadows of their friends lurking in the doorway, waiting for his answer. Cockinghis head to one side, he met the girl’s wide eyes, noting the way her cheeksflushed under his scrutiny. Her companion shifted beside her as well, lookingless confident than he had just a few minutes ago.
“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have –it was a dare – I’ll just go. We’ll go. Happy Thanksgiving, Mr. Castle.”
This time a full-blown laughspilled from his lips. “Guys, it’s okay. You didn’t offend me. To answeryour question, no, I’m not married. I have been, but it didn’t stick for somereason.”
Well, one very large reason, but hehad learned to recognize that there were many issues with his short-livedmarriage to Meredith, beyond coming home to find her in bed with her director.
His students stopped in thedoorway, sharing a look before turning back to him. He could see the curiosityin their eyes.
“Oh,” Ben started, hisvoice low. “I’m sorry.”
Rick lifted a shoulder, shruggingoff the sympathy. That part of his life was over a long time ago. “It iswhat it is, Ben, don’t worry about it.” Off their skeptical looks, he added,“She said I corrected her grammar too much, so I would say it’s for thebest. Wouldn’t you?”
That got a laugh out of the kids.He smiled too, getting up from the desk he’d perched on during dismissal andmoving to gather his things at his own.
“What about a girlfriend?”Ben continued.
“Why do you ask?”
Again, the kids shared a look.Interesting. He was used to the curiosity – he had heard all the variations onthe question before, after all – but this seemed to go beyond that.
“What are you doing forThanksgiving?” Miranda asked quickly, rising on the balls of her feet. Theheels of her boots tapped the linoleum in quick succession as she dropped backdown.
“I–” he started, closinghis mouth while he tried to make sense of their intentions. “Guys, ifyou’re trying to invite me to dinner, I appreciate it, but I’ll be having awonderful feast with my mother and some friends of ours. You don’t need toworry about me.”
Closing his lesson planner, heglanced up to find them looking out in the hall, mouthing something to thestragglers waiting for them. Rick watched Miranda’s lips purse, saw her head bobup in confirmation.
“Why don’t you head home, guys?” he suggested, sliding the book into his satchel. “Enjoy yourbreak to the fullest. Make some mischief – wait, no, that’s Halloween.”
Miranda giggled, nudging her friendwith her elbow and mouthing “now” to him. Clearly it was the boy’sturn in whatever scheme they’d cooked up.
“You should ask Ms. Beckettout,” Ben blurted. “I mean, obviously not for Thanksgiving since you haveplans–”

Hey.
Book Sharing
(Photo not mine.)
“How many times have you read that book?”
Her eyes lift from the pages, unfocused at first, but she recovers enough to turn to him.
“Hmm?”
Rick gestures to the book in her hands, brushing a fingertip over the worn pages, pointing to the annotations on one side.
“Oh,” Kate exhales. “A few. I just… really like it.”
He nods. His fingers trip down her cheek, gentle as they push a damp strand of hair back from her face. Her sunglasses slip down her nose, but he doesn’t push them up. “Think I can borrow it? Read it for myself?”
Delight warms her cheeks, brightens her eyes. It’s always a heady feeling when they discover another thing they can connect about; they both know she had worried more than a few times that they wouldn’t, that their connection might be heady and fun and physical, but lacking everything else. He’s pleased to continue to prove her wrong, to continue showing her all the ways they fit together in this life. “Yeah,” she breathes. “Yeah, of course you can.”
Leaning in, he touches a kiss to her upturned lips, quick enough not to interrupt her reading, hard enough to promise more for later. Kate hums, leaning into the affection.
“You can even make your notes next to mine, if you want,” she adds, bumping her mouth against his once more.
Now that’s love.
Sooo pretty!
the dreamteam is back in full force ♡
I babysit for a girl who use to think her mom’s name was “my love” because her dad said it so often to her and that’s just freaking cute I can’t
Oh, she also loves you, Castle 😉
All the chuckle bunnies talk. The what? Uh… chicks who like to have sex with comedians. Oh, there’s a term for that?

KB: “And how’re you doing that?”
RC: “By staring at the dirt. That’s how they do it in all the old Westerns.”
KB: “Yes, because they’re cowboys. You’re a New Yorker. An easterner. A city slicker.”
RC: [Are you just going to keep going until you complete crush my spirit?]
KB: [No, I’m going to keep going until you realize that you could be doing much more productive things with your life from down there, Cowboy.]
