THE SADDEST THING ABOUT MARGAERY DYING

is that the only real reason she died was not that she wasn’t clever or couldn’t have seen that coming but rather for dany to have less people to take out when she arrives in the 7 kingdoms. now since cercei is clearly evil everyone (including watchers) will root for dany to become the queen. margaery was loved by the people and watchers alike, so they couldn’t have dany kill or otherwise remove her and so make dany unlikeable. margaery died for dany’s plot.

How is Cercei “clearly evil”? Sie killed much less people than for example Rob Stark, who was not called evil and certainly much less people than the dragon queen who killed thousands conquering several cities. Why does killing their enemies (together with a bunch of innocent people in both cases) make Daenerys a great queen and Cercei an evil monster?

And he is Targaryen, but he is much more Stark than Targaryen, since he grew up as a Stark.

Both parents should show in the Name. I dislike it very much that the mothers are made invisible! (That is why i prefer the spanish naming system, where children get the surnames of father AND mother.)

I wonder why so many people complain about Cercei being not sad enough after the death of her son. Folks... That is a woman who lost EVERYTHING. She lost her first son, she lost her daughter, she can’t be with the man she loves. She was robbed her dignity and she was tortured by the faith. She was treated without any respect by the male persons in the counsil and in her family. Though she already suffered really a lot her own beloved son turned her to the faith again, knowing that they might kill her - for giving birth to him and his siblings.

That woman is broken, and a huge part of her fate is not her fault!

And though she tried to safe him now even her most beloved little son is dead. And it was not just an accident, he willingly killed himself!

Maybe she is not crying, but not everybody starts crying a river if he or she is sad, broken, desperate. Many people even cannot feel anything after the lost of a beloved person, because their mind shuts off the pain to make them survive.

I feel very sorry for her. For me the character of Cercei got more likeable every episode in this season. I think she suffered enough already, she is a tragic character. Don’t you bitch about her that much.

She was playing the Faith. She just needed to follow along to get her brother back and survive. She gave her grandma that note with the rose on it! If it wasn’t for the High Sparrow, she would have gotten out alive. She knew Cersei was going to do something so horrendous, but he wouldn’t let her leave.

Yes, she found out that there was something wrong on that day. But she did not find out that there was something wrong with the whole thing, something wrong with the faith militant, something wrong with militant religion. Otherwise she would not make the boy-king join in too and give the faith even more power in a public ceremony. Power combined with religion is the real horrendous thing…

Just showing a rose to a grandmother does not prove that she was planning something or that she had own plans that were not WITH the sparrows.

Either way. We won’t know for certain whether she had something planned or was converted. Her whole arc was basically destroyed.

Can ANYBODY please explain me why the hell there are so many people shipping Arya and Gendry? Just because of that line "you'd be mylady"? You know that does not imply that she would be "his lady" but that she would be a high born lady and he would have to look up to her.

Furthermore they have not much in common. Why not just make Hot Pie and Arya an OTP? They were together nearly as much time... And he has as little in common with Arya as Gendry.

If there is somebody in GoT who has much in common with Arya it is Jaqen H'ghar. If age difference does not count, he would be the best partner for her. And IF age difference counts, there should be a completely different partner for arya, maybe somebody she does not know yet. But it should be somebody she has something in common with - and not the first pretty face that shows up next to her... like Gendry. -.-

Das Boot

Today I watched "Das Boot" again, an epic movie about a German submarine in war. It is a film that touched me very much when I was a child and saw it for the first time. Now as an adult I rewatched it and I am impressed again.

So I searched tumblr for things tagged with "das boot". And this is what I found:

I am not a violent person. In fact I think I am quite tolerant and calm. But when I see how people take the name of SUCH a movie or story and use it for damned shoes or beerglasses, i just wanna BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THEM!

You want to know why he says MANTICORE?

*lol* Believe me, it IS Manticore and not something like Manatee and it is a reference to the cult series "Dark Angel" (by James Cameron, starring Jessica Alba). Manticore is a secret government institution where they produce genetically enhanced soldiers by mixing human dna with other dna, for example cats, bats etc. The "Manticore DNA"  is a common phrase there and refers to unbelievable abilities.

Well... I appreciate very much that Harry named his child Albus Severus. That shows respect to two men who deserve it. :-) In fact I could even  imagine naming an own child Severus as a second name. :-) BTW, Hedwig is a completely normal German woman's name, it is just not fashionable atm. It was some decades ago.

But the most irritiating thing about this naming discussion is, that so many people  are more interested in telling others how to name their children to make them "survive childhood" than to take care that their own children do not bully others because of a strange name, strange hairstyle, strange clothes or so on. You should not restrict the naming choices of other people, but be tolerant and teach you own children tolerance - so a Hedwig Pigwidgeon Potter can live happily with Kevin, Paul, Grace and  Elisabeth.

After rewatching Harry Potter I am suddenly aware that I really like Severus Snape. Maybe more than any other character. Strange. I did not feel like that at all when I was younger! Maybe someday the snape-hating part of the fandom will change like me too, when they get older?

Today I was 15 min late for work, because I HAD to watch the last episode of the Mentalist as soon as it was visible online for European fans. That is extremely unusual for me and it causes trouble at work. But I could not wait any longer... And I do not regret it.

That final episode was just perfect. I did not expect that.

You know that it is not sure, that there will be ANY Jisbon today.. or not any more than in the last episodes?

And you know that it might even be possible that - for example - Lisbon dies and we see Jane hunt for her murderers while season 7?

I just want to say: Please do not freak out like crazy and imagine kisses, sex, proposals and marriages for the end of season 6 - or it is quite sure that you will be disappointed, just because you hoped for too much.
