Ren & basorexia - the overwhelming desire to kiss
It had been a long day. A very. long. day.
First a dance practice with the team, then a magazine interview, then a meeting to discuss future drama roles. Ren was exhausted. But he was looking forward to his dinner plans with you, a much needed break before he went on to commitment after commitment into the night. You two hadn’t been able to see each other for a while, and even a quick dinner would be amazing.
However, Ren's brother had ruined that. Ren received a call from his older brother demanding that he needed to see him immediately about some business. It was last minute, and Ren felt bad, but he could not refuse.
Finally, Ren made it to his last commitment of the day. A photoshoot. Easy enough. The photographer asks Ren to stand on a box for some dynamic shots.
Ren’s mind wanders to you. Were you mad he canceled plans yet again? With his mind unfocused and weeks’ worth of exhaust piling up, Ren took one small misstep.
Not far, but far enough to hurt his arm that caught himself on the ground. He promised the photo crew that he was okay. He ignored the pain and smiled through the rest of the photoshoot.
Fast forward a couple hours. Now Ren is at the hospital past midnight with a sprained arm. Could his day get any worse? He nodded as the doctor prescribed ice and rest of the arm. His mind wandered again to how he should make his way back home. It was late, and the trains weren't running, not that he should ride them with a sprained arm anyway. Who should he call to pick him up?
Masato? He felt bad bothering Masato and the even the rest of Starish. They too had equally busy days lately and were probably asleep in bed. If he called and mentioned he was at the hospital, they would surely all make a fuss.
You? Ren also felt bad. He hadn't even properly explained why he canceled on you so last minute. It wasn't the first time he had to cancel on you lately either.
As Ren was pondering if he should call a taxi, he walked into the waiting room of the hospital. And there you sat, waiting room lollipop in your mouth, waiting for him.
“Need a ride home?” you ask.
All of Ren’s exhaustion from the past few weeks hits him. He’s tired. He missed you. He goes to hug you, and you return with a tight embrace.
“Yes” he murmurs into you neck. He notices your lips dyed blue. A quick glance to where you were sitting shows a pile of candy wrappers on the chair. You’d raided the waiting room’s candy bowl.
It was a lot of wrappers. You’d been waiting a long time for him.
Ren stands straight and his gaze moves from your blue lips to your eyes. He’d never wanted to kiss you more than this moment with your lips dyed blue.
