Why don't you enjoy Japanese culture at the museum when you come to Japan?

Today's spot is the Gotoh Museum in Kaminoge.

Master pieces of Japanese art works are exhibited here. National treasure picture scrolls are also popular and on display for a limited time.

The style of the building of Gotoh Museum is based on "Shinden-zukuri" style in the Heian period.

The large Japanese garden has traditional tea houses, an old burial mound, and a pond, and you can enjoy the nature of the four seasons. The recommended time are spring and autumn. You can see beautiful cherry blossoms and azaleas in spring and fall leaves in autumn.

On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji from between buildings. Try to take nice pictures!

A trip to TOKYO wouldn’t be complete without a visit to SHIBUYA.

Shibuya is one of the significant areas in Tokyo.

Hachiko statue is a popular meeting spot. And Center-Gai there are good restaurants, you can enjoy Ramen, Conveyor Belt style Sushi, Fried Chicken, and Fast food. If you looking for a souvenir shop, Shibuya might be a good place. There are a bunch of souvenir shops and Dollar shops. Their kind of Selected shop has high-quality stuff.

Also, there is a big Department store in Shibuya, Shibuya Hikarie, and Shibuya Scramble Square. Both department stores are located right outside of the station. For clothes, we recommend going to SHIBUYA109. If you are looking for Women’s clothes, SHIBUYA109 would be a great place especially Gen Z. But SHIBUYA109 opened a unique walk and eat restaurant called “IMADA KITCHEN.” The marketing lab has developed unique project. IMADA KITCHEN is a food brand business operated by SHIBUYA109, which started with the aim of "spreading things that have not yet appeared in the world."

And for Men’s clothes, you can go to MAGNET by SHIBUYA109 or Shibuya Scramble Square. The most famous walking route by the younger generation is to meet in Shibuya and walk to the Harajuku area. There are several routes to get to Harajuku, but lately, most people are going through Miyashita Park!

Shopping, eating lunch in Shibuya→Miyashita Park→Head north on Meiji Dori 305-go and walk 750m→Meiji-Jingu (TOKYU PLAZA OTOMOTESANDO HARAJUKU)→ Head　northwest on 413-go→Turn right→Harajuku area !!!

OTAKU♡CULTURE

Shibuya is the best place to visit to enjoy pop culture. It is a buzzing word in Tokyo.

In Shibuya, "オタ活" (Otakatsu) is booming currently.

A decade ago, the term "Otaku" is well known as who likes Anime, games, Manga, Vertical Idol, Train, and so on. And for places like Ikebukuro and Akihabara, there were many stores frequented by people who liked Anime. Recently, the term "otaku" has been changing, and fans of K-POP, Johnny's, and various other genres have also come to be called otaku. According to Ms. Osada, Generation Z Otaku, is starting to reveal what kind of Otaku they are on social networking sites that are less anonymous such as Instagram. Many Generation Z otaku find otaku activities in their daily lives as former Otaku.

What is OTAKATSU? 

“Otakatsu” is a new word that combines otaku and katsudou(activity).

Otakatsu includes going to events of your support, celebrating your favorite star’s birthday, buying goods, etc. There are many ways to support your star. 

In addition to cheering for your star, Instagenic on their account is becoming more and more important to them. When they want to take a photogenic picture, Gen Z Otaku takes a picnic or a private cafe to take a picture celebrating their star's birthday. Many cafes and restaurants in Shibuya will make a dessert plate to celebrate your star's birthday. I often see people putting their favorite names on coffee bottles or taking pictures of acrylic stands and cute food together in Shibuya. Why don't you have a fun Otaku activity in Shibuya?

Hi! We are introducing Minatomirai which is one of the most famous places in Japan.

Have you ever been to Minatomirai? If you have a chance to visit Tokyo, Japan, we definitely recommend visiting Minatomirai which is about 30 minutes from Shibuya, where the famous Shibuya scramble crossing is located!!

Let’s take a look at what you can spend a great time at this place! Minatomirai is located in Yokohama city, Kanagawa. You can enjoy various activities such as ropeway “Yokohama Air Cabin”, Yokohama Cosmo World-amusement park, and Landmark Tower-shopping mall. And, as you see from these pictures, you can have a great time to see seaside city night views from boats.

The closest station to these places is Minatomirai station on Minatomirai Line, which runs directly from Toyoko Line. You can walk to this area from Minatomirai station.
