why I like abusive ships.
I like abusive/ dysfunctional/ unhealthy ships. I like them because they’re different than the typical “fluffy” ships. I like them because their angst is different than what “normal” ships go through and the dynamic is interesting. I like abusive and dysfunctional and unhealthy ships because abusive and dysfunctional and unhealthy relationships exist and it’s important to recognize them for what they are. I am not a bad person who thinks these sort of relationships are good and healthy, I am a person who is interested by the dynamics and character development that occurs in such ships and I am a person who believes others need to be made aware of these relationships because they actually exist. I am not justifying the actions of the characters, nor am I denying that these ships are abusive and unhealthy. I am appreciating them as plot and character development devices while acknowledging that the are abusive and unhealthy.
Tl;dr, please stop shaming people for liking abusive ships. Liking an abusive ship does not mean I support abuse.

That particular revelation had sparked more earnest desire for the young man than he could remember feeling in a damned long time. Not for any notches on his bed post so to speak, but because he would be the one to introduce him to such pleasure. “You’re so damned beautiful, Tom, “ he murmured against his lips. His hands slipped under his shirt moaning at the feel of hard, defined muscles.
Oh he adored how humans kissed! There was something about it that was thrilling. Sometimes, more so than sex. He pressed against him and opened his mouth a little licking at the corner of his mouth. He got the door open with one hand and pulled Tomasz in. He broke apart blushing and whispered heatedly, “Stay? “ he panted a little. Now Tomasz was closest to the open door. It was his choice to close and look it or change his mind.
Flushed with the excitement of the moment and the prospect of acting on as yet untried desires, Tomasz quickly pushed the door shut behind him. In talking at the bar he had disclosed that he had never been with a man before, in any capacity, and only had a few girlfriends. Any nervousness he felt was far outweighed by his eager excitement. He closed the gap between them, hands on Koshei’s collar, and kissed him again.
The Master’s fingers found his hair. “Don’t be, “ he purred. “I’ve wanted to kiss you all day, “ he whispered huskily, lips pressing against Tomasz’s with a slow, gentle urgency. His other arm wrapped around the taller man.
Despite his initial fumblings, Tomasz was by no means a poor kisser. He responded eagerly to the underlying urgency of Koschei’s lips pressing against his own. Opening his lips, teasing out with his tongue, it was only natural to him as his arms found a home around the Master.
Information passed between them. Looks and gentle touches. Finally, after drinks and dinner, Koschei asked him to bring him back to his hotel room. He looked at him and blushed again. “Tonight is… It’s been… Best night I’ve had in a long time.”
Thankful that it was late enough for no one to really be around the hotel, certainly not Tomasz’s direct supervisor, he walked Koschei back across the street. And when they stopped in front of his room, Tomasz fidgeted. He didn’t really want to go home. He wanted to continue talking, continue laughing, continue getting to know Koschei. Abruptly, he leaned in to kiss the man. Noses bumped in his attempt to land his mouth on the other’s. “Sorry,” he mumbled, licking his lips.
“I have too– pictures, anyway,” Jenna retorted, grinning. “Anyway, that’s not th’ point.” It was just something Liam said; she’d parroted it because it sounded smart about drinking.
“Damn right you are,” she said cheerfully. Throwing one arm around Tomasz’s shoulders, she ruffled his hair playfully. “And cute t’ boot.”
Tomasz grinned, turning to look at Jenna. “Y’really think so?” The booze made him feel tingly all over, and his friend’s closeness only amplified that feeling. “’Cause you’re cute too, but I dunno if I’m cute enough for you.”
Jenna actually made a noise that could have been mistaken for a giggle. “Fuckin’ right I’m drunk. That shit Kurt picked up kicks like a mule.”
She was in a good mood. Given how their lives ran in the Reds, she was usually given to a little sourness, a little wariness, but tonight was a calmer night than usual and she was enjoying it. “You had some too, neh?”
“You’ve never even seen a mule.” Tomasz laughed again. “Yeah, I had some. It’s good stuff.” If he really knew anything about liquor, he would know it was cheap swill that no respectable man or woman would drink. But here on the streets the only sort of respect was how well you held your liquor, no matter what brand it was.
He leaned into her, shoulders bumping. “You’re right though, I’m a fucking awesome thief.”
Outwardly, Koschei was so shy, so sweet. He rubbed his foot along Tomasz’s and looked up through long lashes to say, “I was really hoping so. I mean, I’ve never been daring, I know almost nothing about you but…. “ He shrugged, helplessly. Inwardly, the Master was grinning. He was spinning his Web.
They didn’t know each aside from name and occupation. But Tomasz was too wrapped up in the fact that another bloke liked him, found him attractive, and was making advances. He kept smiling. “Me too.” A swallow of his beer gave him some time to ponder what he should say next. He settled on, “I’m from New York, but my dad lives here and my parents have been divorced my whole life so I never really got to know him. I mean, I knew him, we visited sometimes, but yeah. So now I’m here to do that. My mom and my sisters are back in the States.”
