CHILDREN FROM ALL AROUND THE WORLD WITH THEIR FAVORITE TOYS

Gabriele Galimberti is a photographer from Italy that spent 18 months on his series Toy Stories, which takes images of children from all over the world with their favorite toys. “At their age,” Galimberti says, “they are all pretty much the same; they just want to play.”

The difference is that the artist found children from richer neighborhoods, with more toys, less willing to share them and loosen up to play with Galimberti before he arranged each set for a photoshoot. Kids with very little toys, or just one, were willing to share immediately, more often than not, and just wanted to have a good time. The toys also represented the interests of the social classes into which the children were born. Check out more photos in FeatureShoot’s profile.
