the sweet little girl with a silver crown upon her head, rosy lips, bottles of perfumes and an urge to not be broken by the world.
Would gladly trade a compliment from 1000 random dudes for one from a woman 50+ years in age and experience.
It’s taken me time to find my feet in L.A.
If I wasn’t an actress, I think I’d want to work with children in some sort of creative sense. I keep having this daydream where I have this school of girls in Pakistan. I guess in the past several months, I’ve become more a person of principle than I ever have been, so I’d love to do something that helped benefit the world around me, primarily women – the women that I see day-to-day. (Cailtin Stasey)
“Kenna is one of the most complex characters on the program. I’ve been fortunate to have the biggest arc of the ladies in waiting, because she’s made so many horrible mistakes! But at this point I think she’s trying to make up for those. She’s also becoming more empowered. She’s been a plaything for so long. I’m looking forward to her making decisions of her own volition and being empowered by her intellect rather than by her personality.”

“I suppose I want to feel as though – in a small way at least – [I could] have the impact to make even a dent in the negative and warped perception women have of their own sexuality. I would really love to feel as though I could influence or at least inspire other women to take charge of their sexuality and not feel burdened by it and not fearful of it. I would like to feel as though I’ve played a part in helping regain women sexuality. For us.”

The only thing I truly value above all else is my sense of humor, I’d rather be told I was a failure in every other aspect than be told I wasn’t funny. Being found ‘awesome’ is subjective, so I can’t speak with authority, but I am unfailingly myself, everywhere without compromise.
‘One of the guys’ implies that to resemble any kind of man is better than actually being any kind of woman.

[on the TV show Reign] I hope women that watch it can at least take with a grain of salt the level of importance that is placed on our virginities and on our male counterparts. I would hate for any young girl to watch and be like, ‘This is the standard by which I will set my life’. I think they’ve done an incredible job of creating female characters who are really empowered by the times rather than restricted by them. Or, at least, empowered enough within the restrictions that they find themselves in.
Why do I usually take acting jobs? Because no one trusts me to babysit, I dropped out of high school and I REALLY love truffles.
