Thanks Fido I didn’t order a hotdog.
Parisian Ghetto, part 2
Above the Charcuttery you can find a window with an iron wrought balcony. This is inspired on the iron wrought balconies in Paris. More specific to the Avenue de la Bourdonnais. As found at google maps and wikimedia commons.
My page about Parsisian Ghetto part 2 has been redone. You can find it here.
Rennes’ Pawnshop
Painting on the background from Rennes’ Pawnshop level from Tomb Raider - Angel of Darkness. It is an engraving from the Illustrated London News from 1867. It is called L’Abri or “Sleeping child with dog” by Giorgio Bonavia, Britih artist from Maltese origin.

Did you know about the painting hidden at a box “Roddard Legumes”?
The painter is from Odilon Redon and called “The Buddha” made in 1906.
Fun fact. The artist Pharaoh Sanders with his Pharaoh Sanders Quartet used the painting as their album "Crescent with Love".
The obscura paintings analysis
A few years ago I did an analysis on Tumblr under a different name. The analysis is about the Obscura paintings from Tomb Raider - The Angel of Darkness. They play a role in the story. I’ve completed the analysis, thanks to ProfC on Tomb Raider Forums.

Tomb Raider - Angel of darkness - Easter Eggs
I have some easter eggs collected here. It is too early (or to late for eastern).
I have a question: does anybody have new easter eggs. That relate to people who created Tomb Raider - Angel of darkness? Please share them with me.

Tomb Raider I easter eggs, because it is easter.
Lara’s Home introduction FMV
The FMV was made by Peter Bernard. He also did the FMV for BLAM! Machinehead.
In the intro FMV from Croft Manor showing a fish on a fountain. This fish came from a FMV from BLAM! Machinehead if you drowning into the waters.
Explained in The Making of Tomb Raider by Daryl Baxter.

Lara’s handstand
The handstand move of Lara has not a purpose in Tomb Raider I. Toby Gard putted in just for fun.
Sometimes he'd add new moves without telling his fellow developers. Gard added Lara's famous handstand move - more of an Easter egg than a useful ability - without telling the development team in the hope that they'd discover it for themselves. They did.
We were testing every day, then somebody went, ****, I didn't know that was in the game," Neil Boyd says. "Why didn't you tell us? Toby said, 'I wanted to see if you could come across it.' He would go that bit further to add something else in there, rather than just say, that's fine, then move on to the next animation."

Level skip cheat code
In 2021 was a Tomb Raider 25th anniversary panel at Derby Quad organized by Tomb of Ash. Gavin Rummary explains at 31:00 - 32:00 that the movement of Lara Croft for cheating (go to the next level or get all the weapons) was inspired of Dorothy kicking boots and spinning at the end of Wizard of Oz.
