Aisling wasn’t used to being complimented. Especially when it comes to her art. Glancing between the page and the person she let out a nervous laugh. “You actually like it?”

        That wouldn’t be too hard. Travis was a private person himself. When you had his condition, you kinda had to be. He nodded in response to her. “You have a deal.” He gave the apartment a quick glance-over. “It’s a nice place.” Definitely nicer than most of the places he’s laid his head down.

Nice place might be a stretch but she’ll accept it. Putting down her bag, she gestured to the couch. “It’s not much but the couch does pull out.” Looking around the living room, she then turned to him. “Feel free to make yourself at home.”

        It’d been a rough couple of weeks. Travis had been moving place to place for a while. It was hard to settle down in one place without drawing some attention every full moon. Still, he missed being able to stay in one town. It would be so much easier. “Thanks for letting me crash here. I really appreciate it.”

Aisling had only agreed to this because she needed someone else to help with rent. The apartment wasn’t big but being in the city caused her rent to be more than she could handle on occasion. She turned to the other, “As long as you mind your business we should be good.”
