Hawaii - cheap way to explore the beauty .
So . I did go to Hawaii And that is pretty amazing. People are amazed How I could afford it . I could Because I am not tourist . I am traveler . I always organize every trip by myself. I ask people, spend hours on internet looking for Good flight deals And accomodation .
So flights to Hawaii are expensive around more than 700 dollars roundtrip from New York. Yes my flight was for 522 . Cheapest I could find . So I knew I had two weeks off in February ( think its the best time to go to Hawaii ) At the end of January ( surfing season) And February its a whale season . So flights to Hawaii are cheaper from Boston . And you can easily find bus tickets to Boston around 10-15 dollars . ( from New York )
And the best day to travel is Tuesday Or Wednesday . So that would save your money . Tickets on weekend are more expensive . The other thing its important - buy tickets 2 -1,5 month before .
Black Friday / Cyber Monday - some websites have some promo codes that day . Its usually 10 % off but its still something . I bought my flight on Cyber Monday . It was Good deal .

Also I would download hooper app ( Where you get notifications When to buy a flight ticket And you can Also purchase ticket )
Once I found roundtrip ticket to Poland for 422 Which i usually more than 500 cheapest
So I also try to do it cheapest possible. I donāt really care if room has a tv or not . Of course it is important to have a good night sleep before going on hike or elsewhere for all day . Whenever I go somewhere I am not chilling at the hotel . My way of traveling is too see as much as possible.
Airbnb , hostel , Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing will be first on my list since itās for free . In island of Oahu you can find a lot of couchsurfers ( for those who donāt know - it does not look safe but it doesnāt have to be dangerous. Who does accommodation for free right ? Some crazy people ? No . People share their bed to meet and explore culture . I will write a post about Couchsurfing) I did Couchsurfing twice in Hawaii ( it doesnāt need to be accommodation )
Hostel - thatās what I did . One of cheapest hostel in Oahu is Hostelling International - they have 6 bed dorms for around 36 dollars per person . I was there and it looks okay . Not the best but definitely cheap .
Another hostel I want to mention is Banana Bungalow in Maui ( I had really good experience - definitely recommend staying there.)
51 dollars per person in a 6 bed dorm. You can actually find it cheap if you take a tent its way cheaper . Its the cheapest hostel in Maui . And finding couchsurfing there is not easy .
Hostel is runned by young lady Which is Really positive And easy going . They have free buses from And to airport 3 times a day.
They have free tours every day ( I was in one and I loved it ) Of course it would be really appropriate if you give a tip to the person who organize a trip.
Free pancakes =free breakfast. They buy pancake mix and allow you to do your own pancakes . On Friday they have like a party and you can get free beers .
Young people . You can meet people ( especially young from all around the world ) meet new friends . And donāt worry if you travel by yourself ( I did) There are a lot of people like you . And there is nothing to sorry about .
Airbnb . You can find Airbnb pretty cheap but I was more into hostels since I wanted to meet new people .
So restaurants in Oahu are really expensive. So what I did I brought myself some noodle soup or rice with sauce . There is Walmart in Oahu . So itās good to buy some groceries for every day . There is a kitchen in hostels and Airbnb and probably couchsufers will allow you use the kitchen as well .
They have cheap pineapples and local food like chips , drinks at Walmart . There is also Hawaiian beer . So I had some food experience. They also have samples in stores = for example macadamia nuts or Honolulu company cookie ( I tried a lot of samples ) ( Honolulu company is really expensive 3 cookies around 6 dollars - insane ) So thatās what I do . I cook pretty well so I always try to make it myself. But of course once or twice to go out for food is okay . I went out with couchsurfer to try local food . It was great . And there are Macdonalds .
Bus !! Bus will take you all around an island And its cheap
You can Also rent a car if you are with the group And it is Really cheap as well And you dont have to spend time in a crossed bus .
Uber And lyft is Also available .
