So I bought the official novelization of the movie “POTC Dead men tell no tales” and while reading some chapters to look closer in the character, I feel more the depth of Salazar… Or I can say, feel more of his pain. There was a paragraph written different from the movie scene, just a small detail but I can’t get it out of my head.

The beach scene, where Salazar met Jack again, and first line he ever asked the Sparrow was: “Do you remember me?”

And to think about all that times he left one man alive just to tell the tale, I feel how much Salazar wanted ‘to live’ again.

To live, isn’t just bathing the sunlight, or recover to human form. It’s to live in someone’s heart.

To be remembered.
